This could be considered as a mark against Lena buying Catco.

spoilers season2 episode20Title: City of Lost Children

Directed By: Ben Bray

Air Date: May 8th, 2017 8pm The CW

Story By: Robert Rovner

Teleplay By: Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn

Official Description:  When an alien attacks National City, Supergirl and the DEO learn the alien is a Phorian, an otherwise peaceful race with telekinetic powers. Guardian gets a lead on the Phorian’s address but instead of finding the culprit, he finds a very scared boy named Marcus. Marcus will only trust James so it is up to Guardian to stop the attacks on the city. Rhea’s plan escalates.

Reoccurring Cast:

Guest Stars: Lonnie Chavis (Marcus) | Rhea (Teri Hatcher)

Special Notes: Marcus is a young alien boy who bonds with James after the rugrat’s mother attacks National City. The episode is said to contain a scene between James and J'onn that will be touching. Here is what David Harewood said about it:

There’s a lovely moment that I have with Mehcad, about accepting who you are. James is reluctant to step in and help somebody, and I persuade him, as a hero, that sometimes you have to go against your own instincts and do something that’s right, as opposed to what you think might be right.

spoilers season2 episode19Title: Alex

Directed By: Rob Greeniea

Air Date: May 1st, 2017 8pm The CW

Written By: Eric Carrasco & Greg Baldwin

Official Description: Alex is kidnapped and the kidnapper threatens to kill her unless Supergirl releases a notorious criminal from prison. Supergirl and Maggie have always had different approaches to apprehending criminals but this time they must work together to save Alex. Meanwhile, Rhea has an interesting proposal for Lena.

Reoccurring Cast: Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath)

Guest Stars: Rhea (Teri Hatcher)

Special Notes: Alex Danvers goes missing! The result is that Kara and Maggie are going to have to work together to get Alex back. The two clearly love Alex but have very different methods of getting her back. Supergirl's abilities will give them an edge but Maggie's ability to morally bend the rules may be the key to saving Alex. In the end, this is reported to be a very big episode for Alex and Maggie. Chyler Leigh has this to say in a EW.com interview:

Episode 19 is a very big episode for the both of them just because it comes to dire circumstances, where it’s a situation of a rescue. It causes Kara and Maggie to have to rely on each other to figure out what happened to Alex… You have to see how they work together, and you have to see how they’re both fighting for the person that they love, that they care about, and how that can take a toll if you have differing opinions, different ways that you kill aliens. It’s this really great example of how deep all of the relationships are, but it really does put Maggie and Alex to the test in a very great way, but it’s rather dire.

In an interview with TV Line, Chyler Leigh noted who the bad guy will be in this episode and it has flashbacks to season 1:

This episode is called ‘Alex,’ and there’s a guy who comes back from Alex and Kara’s past. In the [Supergirl] pilot, you saw a young Kara miraculously save a girl from car. Well, this one guy saw her do it, and knowing that she had these powers, he figured out that Kara is Supergirl. Seeing an opportunity, this man puts in motion a “big, elaborate setup” that targets Alex and compels Supergirl to spring a dangerous individual from prison. When Alex goes missing during this ordeal, it will take the combined efforts of two of the people closest to her to hopefully save the day.

Wherever Alex is held, it looks like its going to have a lot to do with Water! Check out these photos below from director Rob Greeniea:

Beth Breen can actually take control of anyone that has been injected by the nano tech which makes her a kind of queen bee to the swarm! She may then become Biomax, a DC Comics Villain as it is revealed that she controls Jack as well!

Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg says:

Winn gradually introduces his new lady friend to the group, adding that there’s a big Winn-Lyra-Jimmy storyline. he three of them try crimefighting as a trio, which doesn’t necessarily go well. She kind of becomes the Yoko of the team.

Also this episode will cover the necessity of a fair and balanced press media. Andrew Kreisberg adds:

[Journalistic Integrity is] actually been very important to us, especially in the times we now find ourselves living in; we’re one of the few shows on television that actually has a journalist as a lead character. We really get a chance to talk about the importance of journalism, and the importance of journalism ethics, and how important [it is to have] the objective truth be out there now.

Air Date: March 27th, 2017 8pm The CW

Written By: Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn

Reoccurring Cast:

Guest Stars: King of Daxam (Kevin Sorbo) | Queen of Daxam (Teri Hatcher) | Emily (Hayley Sales) | President Marsdin (Lynda Carter)

I'm from another planet that's an arch-rival planet of Krypton. Which is now of course destroyed". This leads us to believe he will play a Daxamite with Teri Hatcher and the pair are King and Queen of Daxam, Mon-El's Parents.

It appears that actor Hayley Sales has been cast in for a role in Supergirl. Her character's name is presumably "Emily" and rumors are she could be a rival in Alex and Maggie's relationship. Wilder speculations include a Bat-family connection.

Martin (Joe), Victor Garber (Dr. Stein), John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn), Jeremy Jordan (Winn) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco). Further more, on set photography seems to suggest a element of either time travel or an Earth 2 location, at least for a part of the episode as the cars in the photo below are very old-timey.

spoilers season2 episode13

Andrew Kreisberg said,

Mon-El's seceret sort of comes to light in Episode 16, and it's going to cause problems between Mon-El and Kara. He doesn’t quite get that it’s the cover-up, not the crime, which I think is really the issue.

Guest Stars: Mxyzptlk (Peter Gadiot)

Special Notes: Mxyzptlk is coming to the show! Fan favorite author of Adventures of Supergirl has put down his comic writing pen and picked up his TV writing pen to co-write this episode! Supergirl.tv also has a source that says Mxyzptlk (the 5th dimentional imp with nearly unlimited power) has arrived to Earth 38 to court the beautiful Kara Danvers. As Supergirl, she is the only woman in the universe that could possibly be his bride. Also, Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg has confirmed that the Parasite will return this episode! This episode is going to be centered on Alex and Maggie according to EW.com (the date they've quoted is incorrect). While Alex is excited to celebrate the holiday with her first girlfriend, Maggie isn't very keen on the day. A first real fight ensues but the couple manages to pull through. Also, Supergirl.tv has a source that says Winn will date a Valerian (a race that is known for their nomadic lifestyle) after she comes to his rescue on a mission. Season 2 Spoilers

Parasite Returns in Episode 13:

The episode that Sterling Gates co-wrote will welcome back the Parasite and features Mxyzptlk.

Winn gets a Girlfriend:

In February, around Valentines day, Winn meets a Valarian woman who came from the Haven of Stars. The two hit it off and end up going out on a date on Valentines day.

Superman:

Superman, played by Tyler Hoechlin will be in the first two episodes of the season. It was also suggested that he will reappear in at least one episode later on in the season.

In our interview at San Diego Comic Con, David Harewood confirmed there will be an epic battle that will include Martian Manhunter, Supergirl, and Superman in the first two episodes! All three will appear in their costumes together!

Talking with Tyler Hoechlin at SDCC, we confirmed he will also play Clark Kent on the show.

Mehcad Brooks, in our interview with him at SDCC, confirmed that he and Clark will have some "bro time" to talk about his blossoming relationship with Kara.

Winn will have a similar reaction to meeting Superman that he did when he met the Flash. Jeremy Jordan stated that Winn is the ultimate fanboy!

Kara:

Melissa Benoist said in our San Diego Comic Con interview that Kara will know her job choice pretty soon. We have seen test dialogue that also suggests that she will take a reporter role like Clark has. She also said there will be some family friction between her and Clark as the two have developed how to be heroes very differently.

Alex:

Chyler Leigh and Sarah Schechter stated in our interviews at SDCC that Alex will have a very "interesting" storyline this season. The arc should let fans learn more about her and who she is outside of the DEO. Alex will return to the DEO and work under Hank Henshaw this season but has not given up on her hunt to find her father Jeremiah

Winn:

Our interviews with Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Sarah Schechter revealed that Winn will be working at the DEO this season giving Jeremy a lot more screen time with David's J'onn J'onzz. Executive Producer Sarah Schechter said that the pairing will be a large source of comedy for the two.

Jeremy Jordan likened this season to a graduation year. The characters are now strong enough to work together as a team and help keep National City and the world safe. He also noted that Winn may not completely be over Kara.

J'onn J'onzz:

J'onn returns to lead the Department of Extranormal Operations but no longer under the disguise as Hank Henshaw. David said that he was looking forward to having more story fleshed out with his character this season and said there were possibilities of romance in the future. He also noted that now that Jeremiah is alive, his role with Alex and Kara may need to evolve!

James:

James' relationship with Kara isn't going to be super easy said Mehcad Brooks in our SDCC interview. James is still growing as a person just like Kara and there are going to be some growing pains in this new relationship.

5 New Characters Joining:

  1. Lena Luthor (Full Time Character): who will be in the 25-35 year old range, arrives in town to get out from under the shadow of her infamous brother. She’s described as sexy and smart and determined to get what she wants. But what does she want? That remains unclear.
  2. Nick Farrow (Full Time Character): He’s a “brash leading man” who butts heads with Kara at CatCo. The son of a famous reporter, Nick is “looking to make a name for himself in the news world but the question of whether he can leave behind his former selfish and hedonistic ways will constantly arise. In hanging out with Kara, the hero in Nick might finally come out.
  3. The Doctor (Recurring Character): The diabolical female leader of Project Cadmus who uses her surgical skills to implant prisoners with alien technology.
  4. Snapper Carr (Recurring Character): A veteran journalist appointed by Cat to remake the news division by going old school.
  5. Maggie (Recurring Character): an out and proud detective for the newly formed Science Police, which deals specifically with metahuman and alien threats.

Chris Wood Cast as Unknown Character:

In test dialogue obtained exclusively by Supergirl.tv, we've read lines that would suggest Chris Wood's character is from a planet named "Ecarra" (E - car - uh). This could easily be changed to a known planet in the DC universe like Daxam. The dialogue suggested that the visitor is a refugee from his planet that was invaded. He escaped to Earth in running from the invaders. The character is a royal prince on his planet and begins to take up heroism after seeing how Kara uses her powers on Earth. It is further suggested that the visitor will develop a crush on Kara. In one of the lines, this character claims he learns the meaning of shame after realizing he never used his abilities and position to help those on his own planet and, of course, because he is seeing how Kara uses her abilities to help her adoptive planet.

President of the United States:

Lynda Carter has been cast to play POTUS in the Supergirl universe. Further more, in test dialogue discovered by Supergirl.tv, it is suggested that POTUS will pass a new Alien Registration Act that will encourage aliens on the planet to come forth and identify themselves. In doing so, they will be given special rights like citizenship if they agree to certain rules about their abilities. Lynda Carter is expected to make her debut in episode 3.

Roulette:

Roulette, DC Comics character created by Geoff Johns in 2001, will be appearing on the show in season 2. She will be running her house of horrors where she forces monsters and aliens to fight in a concealed ring for the enjoyment of the rich and famous. She will skirt the law of mistreatment of aliens as the aliens she uses are not registered according the POTUS' Alien Registration Act and therefor have no rights.

Pike:

Supergirl.tv has come across test dialogue for a character named Pike. Pike will be a henchman for the Luthor family when they need illegal activities committed. The character shares a scene with Supergirl who quickly puts him on his butt!

Scorcher:

A character named Scorcher will appear on the show, likely in episode 3 with the alien fighting ring hosted by Roulette. Not much is known about Scorcher at this time but judging by her name, fire is going to be involved!

Shared Universe Characters: (Unconfirmed)

  1. "Kathy/Kate Kane and her alter ego, Batwoman, will appear on Supergirl as a recurring role. She will be Maggie Sawyer’s ex, whose adventures as Batwoman occasionally take her to National City." (debunked by Greg Berlanti)
  2. "Barbara Gordon will also appear as Oracle (mostly so as not to have Batwoman AND Batgirl). Babs will develop a strong friendship with Kara, Supergirl. The Oracle/Batwoman relationship is being modeled after the original Chuck Dixon Era Birds Of Prey, but with Kathy/Kate as the operative instead of Dinah." (debunked by Greg Berlanti)
  3. There is talk that Fox may allow the use of Batman and the Berlanti-verse could cast him in a similar deal that John Borrowman got for use across shows. This would come at a price or fee The CW would have to pay to Fox. (debunked by Greg Berlanti)
  4. "John Wesley Shipp will be the third actor who will become a series regular across the whole CW DC Universe, after Wentworth Miller and John Barrowman. He will (obviously) be playing Jay Garrick, not Henry Allen."

Episode 1 Season 2 Title:

The title to episode one is "The Adventures of Supergirl" but is unrelated to the companion comicbook "Adventures of Supergirl"

Venture One Space Shuttle:

In Hi-Res photos of the set, there are references to Superman potentially flying with a new Space Shuttle, the Venture One. Could a space shuttle disaster cause Superman to head to National city?

Four Show Crossover in December:

It was officially announced that a four episode crossover between all hero shows on the CW will take place in December. While some speculated that Flash's Flashpoint could merge the universes between Flarrow and Supergirl, its now suggested that the 4 part crossover event will be the cause. Marc Guggenheim had even mentioned that Supergirl or a villain from her show may be the catalyst for the event!

Joss Whedon Directing Musical Episode (Rumor, Unconfirmed):

When the Supergirl.tv staff was at SDCC attending the SRSLY Super Power Hour party presented by Buzzfeed, we met a ton of actors from the CW network. We also met, Joss Whedon who was at the party, but we didn't make the connection as to why he was at a CW party. With the announcement of the Flash Supergirl musical crossover, now we are thinking that Joss could direct those episodes as he has so much experience with musicals like Buffy and Dr. Horrible.
