Only three episodes left of Supergirl when we get to this episode synopsis. Episode 18 synopsis now has a title, "Truth or Consequences". So obviously the purposal has taken place because this episode includes Alex and Kelly's bachlorette party! The real sleeper for us here is that Brainy is going to get some heart breaking news. We imagine its from the future somehow. Maybe they were able to stop the AI virus in the 31st century? William and Andrea are going to go toe to toe and we think its about time. Andrea didn't really grow and is still all about the money. Maybe she'll come around in the end. Read the full synopsis for yourself below:

THREE EPISODES LEFT UNTIL THE SERIES FINALE – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is determined to keep everyone safe from Lex (guest star Jon Cryer) and Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) so she doubles down on patrol, especially as Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Kelly’s (Azie Tesfai) bachelorette party is coming up. Alex is torn between duty and finally allowing herself the time to enjoy her new family. Brainy (Jesse Rath) receives heartbreaking news, and William (Staz Nair) clashes with Andrea (Julie Gonzalo) over her recent coverage of Lex. The episode was directed by David McWhirter with story by Karen E. Maser and teleplay by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Elle Lipson (#618). Original airdate 11/2/2021.

Yes, it looks like Monty will be coming back to help Supergirl save the day. And I don't think Monty is going back to the future without Supergirl.

Interesting synopsis. I would tend to think that if the news Brainy is going to receive is bad - then someone from the legion would deliver it. SuperGirl doubling down on trying to keep National City safe is going to cause wear and tear on her - no sleep- no rest - makes for a semi-functioning Superhero whose mental and physical health are affected. I think this is what makes Alex feel bad about taking time to be with her family (although she did pick one hell of a time to get married). It would be wonderful if Andrea left the company and William took over. If somehow William found out Kara is SuperGirl and he has replaced Andrea - that would solve Kara's problem of trying to do two jobs at once since William would be expecting her disappearances and make allowance for them.

Also, with a Bachelorette party, I would assume we will be seeing Eliza - that would be nice.

1. I have a suspicion that the news is rather grave and not at all optimistic.

2. Lena's busy with the Superfriends, and isn't involved with Catco doings anymore. However, the growing empathic and ethical rifts between Andrea and William are integral to Kara's future as well. Anyone remember this dialogue line from the 1984 Supergirl movie?

"Overreaching ambition...take heed!"

So Alex did succeed in proposing after all in the previous episode. Wonder what Brainy's news will be?
