Is everyone in the entertainment industry suddenly a sex offender? (or rather turn out to be)

This does not surprise me and is showing in the broader picture of things that the entertainment industry's bubble has now burst. To me it all started on the political realm of things with ABC canceling Last Man Standing despite good ratings. This is now the devolving of things in an industry that I think for many generations has been full of these assaults (The so-called Casting Couch).

Kelly I too am glad Warners' has suspended Kreisberg in the face of these allegations,which is what they are allegations. And perhaps Sarah Scheceter will take over. That's sort of the dynamic of the DC/CW universe, someone coming in to take over things. And yes some of the episodes of all the shows are already written and "in the can."

And kdogg, your speech can be summed up in an axiom or a #1 hit song by The Osmond Brothers from 1971 "One Bad Apple" don't spoil the whole bunch.

Should one be alarmed and go Chicken Little here and worry about backlash and cancellation? Not even close unless you read what is up on Instagram. Worried? Nope. Concerned? Depends on what one thinks of this. Curious? Yes.

But, if this further gets out to the entertainment media (Extra, ET, Access Hollywood) then maybe it's time for the alarm bells to go off. The story broke in Variety, a source used by those shows and the media in general.

In the end though one has to ask...is anything safe anymore?

This is truly sad. For all concerned, I hope there is relief and closure and that if AK is found culpable, corrective measures are taken quickly. It appears that the industry as a whole has to seriously clean house and rebuild the power structure on a cleaner, more solid foundation. I have a feeling things will get a lot worse before they get better.

This is very disturbing and sadly, also too common in the entertainment industry. Power begets abuse. Things must change and they must change very quickly. I hope that WB, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, once fully aware of all of the relevant facts, take decisive and immediate constructive action to address and fix the problem. If they had it in them, they'd call all staff (everyone from the actors to the office clerks) across all show they produce to apologize to and reassure them that all relevant actions are being taken and that no repercussions will be forthcoming if people speak out.

Let's see how things transpire.

Seems to me that this may be part of a political smear campaign designed to silence certain vocal industry folk just before the Alabama elections. However, as far as the CW superhero shows are concerned, Berlanti Productions staffs them all with multiple showrunners, so there shouldn't be any hiccups in the production process. Those remaining will likely have to double up on duties in order to fill the void caused by Kreisberg's absence while he fights these allegations. Since Sarah Schechter oversees all aspects of Berlanti Prod. as president of the company (which last I checked, have a record 13 TV shows in various stages of production), she's probably already got enough on her plate.

This is disheartening if true. Kreisberg is only one of the people who are behind the success of the show and like others before have already stated, I'm certain that there are individuals who will be very capable of continuing to steer the show towards success.

Not to get into the issue itself too much but, hopefully everyone understands that sexual harassment is not just an entertainment or political problem. Its occurrence has been thoroughly bred into our culture: the entertainment and political world just happen to have large enough platforms to highlight the problem.

If don't you think that if AK was really engaged in this kind of abuse that high ranking producres like Berlanti and Sarah S would know about? Didn't the Variety article say that some complained to Berlanti's production company about AK and nothing was done?

That the alleged victims won't revel themselves to the public out of fear of Warner Bros punishing them?

What a terrible development for DC shows on the CW.. . My feeling about it is that "where there's smoke, there's usually fire". Variety says that 15 women and 4 men are basically telling the same stories about Kreisberg. I'd be be interested to find out they know each other. (Variety's article doesn't say.) When you have 19 people who don't even know each other all telling similar stories about the same guy.....

And there is more trouble possible at DC Comics. From the last paragraph of the article...

Rovner and Queller both credit AK for the crazy creative ideas that we've seen in Supergirl so far (i.e., the broken in half C-130 cargo plane from last week's episode), with AK "disabled" I hope they get help from who are just as creative as AK, or they are really that good only that AK gets most of the credit. The good thing is, we have dual EP's/showrunners left on Supergirl - The Flash has Helbing left.

If AK gets terminated after the internal investigation concludes, I hope whoever replaces him would be better. I believe there's always someone better, only that we've been so used to have AK guiding Supergirl and all the other shows. This could mean a new direction for Supergirl, one can only hope that it's for the better.

And also more important, here's hoping no one other than AK will have any harassment allegations (bogus or not) within Berlanti after this.

But with regards to the show. The EP don't necessarily have to be directly involved in the show. The show runners are the true vision for the show, but in this case, AK served as both. Seems to me that Rovner and Queller are doing a good job so far, so leave them be.

I hope that this incident will not affect the shows in a bad way. Like delay or at worst cancel at least for an extended time because that would be horrible and they haven`t even released if it would affect the shows yet. I honestly thought that Andrew was a good guy and he seemed nice on the screen, but I guess you never see past the mask.

The writer of the original article has been online, and divulged that the complaints all came from low-level former hires, which means they had no job security to begin with. It's starting to look more and more like an opportunistic smear campaign designed to shake up things at WB-TV and Berlanti Productions, just as they're ramping up promotions for the big CW crossover event. Naturally, it's likely going to take awhile before any full details come to light on the matter.

Short note on DC's Eddie Berganza situation...that's a story that's been going around on comics message boards for several years now. If the company is finally taking action with him, then perhaps there's been enough accumulated accounts by credible witnesses to the incidents.

From what I've read, the nail in the coffin for AK is that these stories are meshing, they are not countering each other, they are actually putting the puzzle together. Also, apparently the 4 men involved are backing up the stories of the 15 women, as to what has been seen. I say, keep cleaning house, it is tough, it is messy, but it needs to be done. What is ridiculously stupid are those theorizing that the demise of #Sanvers and #Supercorp not coming to pass has anything to do with this....AND, there are those that are slamming Chris Wood because he didn't say or do anything about it. These people are delusional.

I also saw a bunch of Karamels laughing about how now they know how Katie became a regular because she slept her way to the top with Kreisberg. These people are sick and this issue is so much bigger than the show. It should be about the survivors and their bravery and strength.

The online outrage about this is a joke.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the accusations are a joke. They aren't. If Kreisberg's guilty (and with 19 accusations that corroborate each other, it seems like he is), then he should be fired.

What I mean is that, on all of the online rage is falling on Supergirl's twitter and Instagram accounts, and not on The Flash's, or any other of the shows.

I get it's because Supergirl is supposed to be the "female empowerment" show, so Kreisberg's actions fly in the face of that. But Kreisberg isn't the only one contributing to this show. So I don't get how you can boycott one show and not the other, regarding the Kreisberg issue. Besides, Flash is far and away the bigger ticket for Kreisberg, as it's consistently the highest rated show on CW.

I'm not boycotting either one. I love them both and want them to have long runs. I can just understand where others are coming from, even if I don't necessarily agree. I merely want Kreisberg replaced so we can move beyond this issue and continue to have a good run on this series.

But the thing that REALLY bothers me is people bundling the #FireKreisberg hashtag in the same posts as #SanversMatters or #BringMaggieBack hashtags.

They are literally equating their issues with a fictional gay couple to that of an EP with years of alleged sexual harassment. That is appalling to me, at the very core of my being. Forgetting, for a moment, that it was Floriana's choice to leave the show, so that isn't really the writer's fault...People thinking there problems with a fictional relationship is as important as real life sexual harassment....I can't wrap my head around it. It's mind boggling.

I've beaten the #Sanvers issue to death. I'm not LGBT, and it's impossible for me to know what it's like to be LGBT. I know that. But I support that community, and understand that representation matters. But at the end of the day, these are fictional characters. When in real life, it's possible that 19 real, living people were harassed and demeaned by this man. People bringing up Sanvers in the face of the Kreisberg revelations is maddening.

I apologize for the rant, guys. I just can't stand people hijacking an issue as serious as sexual harassment to voice their shipping outrage.

I will continue to watch these shows, especially Supergirl. But Kreisberg should get what is coming to him.

as much as this disgusts me i hope that this does not affect the shows, like delaying them, making the less quality, bad plot points, or worst of all have them cancelled.

The braveness of these 19 people to come forward is remarkable. I hope that this will help others that have undoubtedly been harassed also find comfort. Hopefully Kreisberg will answer for his actions and maybe this will help everyone involved to start healing.

Sexual Harassment is disgusting in all forms and should be dealt with zero tolerance. I am saddened to see people who work on something I enjoy have had to endure this behavior. Thankfully due to some very courageous voices it has come to light and is being dealt with. Regardless of how tempting it may be to pass around some blame; 100% of the blame goes to the creep doing this ****.

We need to all stand in solidarity with the victims so that they know they are heard, understood and supported. For those that would try and bring ships wars, character/story complaints into; I ask you to politely STOP! Please do not hijack the stories of the brave men and women who have come forward under difficult circumstances.

Wonderfully said! This is a despicable situation at hand and should not be reduced to petty ship wars and such. Doing so does a diservice to the brave voices speaking out against this man.

I want to make it clear, this is not directed at nor meant to be a call out of anyone here. I see some bringing to light some awful behavior with in the fandom, and its important that we we are aware of this **** so we can stop it. Everyone finally has a reason to unify under 1 voice, enough
