I decided to start basically a Supergirl season 6 thread.I was already figuring we may get some news at DC's FanDome event next month but apparently there was a Virtual Wizard World Con in the past few days and several cast members were there.Apparently there was some season 6 news there.TheDCTVshow has a report on it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_031LiXNw

The Major news points.

1)Jesse Rath revealed they plan to begin shooting September 28.

DCTVshow speculates that they might do what they did at the start of season 4 where other cast members like Jesse will begin shooting September 28 but Melissa might start a little later.

2)Helen Slater will be in a couple episodes in season 6.

The next bit I'll spoiler highlight since it could be considered a spoiler.

3)
Warning: Spoiler Alert! [Toggle message]
From Jesse Rath:"The writers are working on,not a Legion story but what I think is the essence of what The Legion Of Superheroes is."

DCTVShow speculates he's not expecting Legion members appearing but more the idea of what The Legion is.A team of superheroes coming together. So really Team Supergirl really coming together as a team and becoming the basis of what The Legion becomes in the future.

ETA

I think I found the actual panel video.

I'm not sure who that comicbook character is behind Dreamer on her poster, but it ain't Dreamer.

Also, I am once again awwed by the promo departments inability to actually promote Melissa Benoist as Supergirl. I just don't get, and have given up on trying to figure it out. SMH...

It's like someone thought of the line "She's Seen The Future" oOOOOOOOOOOOOH, LETS DO A POSTER ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW.....AND WE GOTTA, WE GOTTA.....WE GOTTTTA PUT IT ON TWITTER RIIIIIIIIIGHT NOW....RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT NOW, WE CANNOT WAIT, IT IS JUST TOO GOOD OF A TAG LINE, WE CAN'T WAIT.

Wait, what is the show about? Oooooooooooooh yeah, Supergirl, well the fans are mad at us again so hurry up find one from last season (sighs) gotta keep them on that leash ya know.

I have nothing against Dreamer, she is a great character, Nicole Maines has done, and will continue to do a great job, but seriously.....just once how about we do a STROOOOOOONG PROMO PUSH using "Supergirl" Melissa Benoist as Kara Zorel aka Kara Danvers. Just once.....please, just asking for ONE TIME. Doesn't seem to be too much to ask. Well........maybe it is.

I'm wondering now if Supergirl season 6 could be doing a take on All Star Superman?

For those who are unfamillar,All Star Superman was a 2005-2008 twelve issue limited series by writer Grant Morrison & artist Frank Quitely. It's considered one of the great defining Superman stories and we've seen Supergirl use storylines and elements from Superman before.

It's basically a Death Of Superman story. The gist of the story is that Lex Luthor orchestrates a situation where to save everyone,Superman is forced to absorb a high level of solar radiation. The result is that while it causes him to be even more powerful,it's also slowly killing him.So the setup is that Superman only has one year to live(he keeps this from the public) and the series follows him over that year putting his affairs in order. The comic was adapated into a animated movie a few years ago.
With recent information I’m cautiously optimistic that this isn’t what they’re doing and the series won’t end with Kara’s death or even have her preparing for her imminent death. I really didn’t like the first 8 episodes of Flash season six where Barry was preparing for his death in Crisis. I’m all for Kara having a quarter life crisis and contemplating her mortality and what she wants.

Of the many ways the series could end I would be truly disappointed if ends with Kara’s death. This is a show with an underlying theme of hope and to date no non villain has died heck, compared to other shows there’s been hardly any deaths.

And pretty in part due to fan demand they’ve released a poster with Supergirl using a old picture of Melissa.

Flash teamup

https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/flash-supergirl-reportedly-teamup

Would be really cool if true but We Got this Covered has a reputation of being unreliable. We'll see.If true,is this in place of the originally planned Batwoman/Superman & Lois crossover or in addition to it?

I'm greedy,I want both.lol Two smaller crossovers instead of one bigger one.

Even I, who have admittedly been a stick in the mud regarding season 6 being the final season, it falling under COVID restrictions, and having Melissa absent for such a large portion of it, can admit my excitement to have young Kara and Alex back. Those 2 are absolutely charming.

My wish (which wont happen) is that they would write adult Kara off for a series of episodes, for some sort of illness or defeat, and have a time travel story where teenage Kara must come to the present and take her place for the interim episodes.

It won't happen, but one can dream.

Regardless, PUMPED to have Izabela and Oliva back on set.

David Ramsey is returning as Arrow's John Diggle on Supergirl in a episode this season. He will also be directing for Supergirl as well as well as appearing/directing episodes of The Flash,DC Legends Of Tomorrow,Batwoman and Superman & Lois.

David Ramsey To Direct, Return As John Diggle & Mystery Character In the CW’s Arrowverse

By Denise Petski
Senior Managing Editor
December 1, 2020

https://deadline.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/DAvid-Ramsey-2-Diggle.jpg

EXCLUSIVE: David Ramsey (aka John Diggle) will be busy both behind and in front of the camera for the CW. Ramsey, who most recently starred in Arrow as John Diggle/Spartan will return to direct five episodes in the DC Universe, including the new series Superman & Lois, and Supergirl. Additionally, Ramsey will guest star in five episodes across the Arrowverse, returning as fan favorite John Diggle in Superman & Lois, Supergirl, The Flash and Batwoman, along with a mystery role in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which is being kept under wraps.

Ramsey made his directorial debut on Arrow in 2018 and directed a second episode during the series’ final season.

In the series finale of Arrow, Ramsey’s John Diggle moved to Metropolis after finding an emerald ring, presumably the power ring worn by Green Lantern in the pages of DC Comics. There has been speculation that Diggle might return at some point as the Green Lantern, so stay tuned.

“I remain in awe of the imprint these shows have had on television and I’ve been blessed for the better part of a decade to be a part of them both in front of and behind the camera,” said Ramsey. “To say I’m excited beyond belief to return to the Berlantiverse would be an understatement. I can’t wait to continue telling these stories.”

Ramsey’s previous credits include Blue Bloods, opposite Tom Selleck and the role of Anton Biggs on Dexter. He also drew critical praise for his starring role as Muhammad Ali in the television biopic Ali: An American Hero. On the feature side, Ramsey’s credits include a starring role in the Rodrigo Garcia directed Mother and Child, as well as Pay It Forward and Draft Day. Ramsey is repped by manager Nils Larsen at Integral Artists, APA, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman Smelkinson & Christopher.

I wonder if his mystery role of Legends is as Green Lantern as set up in the Arrow finale.Very excited to hear about Ramsey's return as Diggle and him directing.I bet he's not doing Black Lightning due to it shooting in Atlanta.

I thought I'd share this story I came across with a disclaimer... We Got This Covered is sometimes correct in their reporting but it is very hit and miss. While it sounds plausible, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it at this point, it may or may not be accurate. I thought it would be appropriate here as it relates to season 6 speculation...

I certainly understand the risk of crossovers during Covid-19 times and although a bummer, it was smart to cancel this year's event. However, If the other shows wrap filming before Supergirl, could they work in farewell guest appearances? There would be a far lesser contamination risk if the other shows have wrapped.

@comic fan. I guess if Melissa had to miss an episode or two, the ones featuring the younger versions of the Danvers sister would work the best. We still get Kara Danvers. Supergirl without Kara is really not Supergirl.

Photos and video are dropping a bit more frequently. Hopefully it means we are getting closer to promo images, and them revealing a premiere date.

... although, I suspect if they were planning to bring him back, they'd keep it under wraps. My thought are still that she will travel to the future and join Mon-el and Winn as part of the Legion.

Jessica Queller’s being cagey and of coarse wants to keep things under wraps. I would think logistically Chris would be an easy guest star. I assume he moved to Vancouver with Melissa and their son, by extension he’s already in the shows COVID “bubble”.

Also, it's not much compared to the pros. But here are a few photos from when I was able to get on set at the park, the other day.

I, for one, think Lillian Luthor is sublime and always a welcome presence onscreen. I think many will be in agreement.

I, too, think Brenda is great in the role.

I took note that she gave Lex pause when she brought up his father. :o Hoping that leads to a revelation or two.

I know they are! Thomas Lennon was present when I was on set, last week. There should be some pics earlier in this thread!

Speaking of...I was filming a student project, when someone walked by, putting out these notices. Looks like I may be able to get into another Supergirl set, next week!

'Real Heroes Wear Masks' in New Posters for Superman & Lois, The Flash and More Returning CW Shows

By Andy Swift / August 3 2020

https://pmctvline2.files.wordpress.com/2020/08/arrowverse-posters.jpg

The Arrowverse’s finest are suiting up like never before.

The CW has released a series of posters for its 2021 slate of superhero series — Black Lightning (Season 4), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Season 6), The Flash (Season 7), Stargirl (Season 2), Supergirl (Season 6) and Superman & Lois (Season 1) — all of which feature the shows’ iconic stars wearing masks. Heck, they even let Beebo in on the action.

The posters, of course, aim to stress the importance of wearing masks while out in public to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Supergirl and The Flash were forced to wrap their latest seasons early when the pandemic led to an industry-wide shutdown in March 2020, while Superman & Lois received a straight-to-series order without being able to film a traditional pilot. Black Lightning, Stargirl and Legends of Tomorrow were unaffected.

Stargirl, whose first season currently airs on both The CW and streaming service DC Universe, was recently renewed for a CW-only second season. Stargirl‘s freshman run concludes on Monday, Aug. 10. (Click here to check out first-look photos from the big finale.)

Batwoman is conspicuously absent from this batch of posters, likely because Javicia Leslie — who will don the iconic cowl in Season 2, following Ruby Rose’s exit — hasn’t been able to do a full photo shoot in costume yet.

Browse our gallery of the posters — you can click here for direct access — then drop a comment with your thoughts below. Which superhero show are you looking forward to the most?

I think the new Dreamer poster is actually a quite clever play on her powers... She's seen the future, season 6 is coming... I like it.
