Louis Ozawa Changchien Cast as The Hat

Manchester Black on his own is an interesting and formidable adversary, but comic book fans will remember that he was once the leader of a group called "The Elite". We've been clued in to the existence of The Elite when we reported earlier that Jessica Meraz joined as Menagerie in 2018. Today, Comicbook.com is reporting that actor Louis Ozawa Changchien, from Man in the High Castle, has joined the show as The Elite character, The Hat. He will make his debut in episode 413 titled "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and The American Way". The Hat will team up with Manchester Black, Menagerie and The Morae to take on not only Supergirl but the Children of Liberty. This mirrors a big comic book story and animated movie, Superman vs the Elite.

We may see a 4-way this season - Supergirl & her friends Vs. Children of Liberty Vs. The Elite Vs. Red Daughter

Not surprisingly, it seems as though Manchester must get out of jail at some point in the next couple of episodes. I wonder if this group breaks him out or if he gets out in some other way.

Awesome! "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and The American Way" is a great story. If they adapt this half as well as they did "For the Man Who Has Everything," it'll be a treat.
I've done some light reading about this comic book story since it was first announced and it does seem like it has the potential to be an intense story. But, from what I read the story was one that built up for a bit before the showdown between Superman and the Elite. It sounds like this episode is the debut for this character so, I just hope that if they go the route of the comics that it isn't rushed by putting the entire story into one episode.

I've been having thoughts about what kind of impact or "destruction" Kara would cause if she lets her powers loose and not hold back. Even while fighting evil villians, she holds back because she doesn't want to kill anyone. So I'm very curious to see if they will follow the Superman storyline and have Kara show the world just how powerful she is. However, the fallout of such a display of power will probably result in negative repercussions and give the Luthors and the government more reason to have kryptonite at the ready.

Wow...talk about tweeners and anti-heroes.

I recognize Louis Ozawa Changchien from guest spots in other shows. Shaping up to be nice casting for the Elite. :-)
