Hi,

I just found this article that might shed some light as to if or when the U.S. - Canada land border may re-open. If indications from health officials and governments and the article below is to be deemed accurate, it might take a year or so before there is any sort of free-flow.

Note: This may or may not affect filming in B.C. for Arrowverse and other U.S.-backed productions since it does not strictly prohibit air travel but the current quarantine provisions may / likely will still apply for air and sea as it currently does for land crossings.

Superman & Lois is scheduled to start shooting at the end of September, so they must be on their way with these wrinkles. It's probably with appropriate work permits and backing from production companies. The sooner these shows get back to work, the sooner they help the Vancouver economy. So they'll get back to work if they think they can do so, safely.

Studying film up here in Vancouver, I can confirm they are still mandating the 2 week quarantines after international travel. It's part of the reason I'm not coming home for Summer break, and probably not for the Winter break, either. That's somewhat depressing, but that's my own stuff to deal with, lol.

I'm interested to see how these shows adapt to a post-Covid world. As much as I'm sore about the wait, Supergirl will benefit, in this case, from starting later than the other shows, as the shows that actually start filming this Fall will have the chance to work out the kinks with any new protocols. This means those issues should HOPEFULLY be ironed out by the time Supergirl resumes production...which I estimate between being anywhere between November and January, depending if they want to try and get any filming done before their own Winter Break.

I'll try to keep an eye out for any of the Arrowverse shows filming outside, as things get going, again.
