Brainiac 5 has been cast

Is the Mon-El debate happening again?

Man, I hope not. He is not even back yet. Can it not be all about him again for a least a little while longer?

As for me - cautiously interested in the legion stuff but really hoping it does not overshadow the dynamic going on now.

I AM LOVING THIS.......... and the crying from #Karamel in 3....2....1. Blast off.....

What better way to allow the shippers to get rid of the anger and move on than to break up all ships, and lets all move on. Fantastic idea.....

If this is what the writers have in store to tell these shippers to shut up...it may cost them viewers who have some kind of psychosis about these ships which all started with Arrow's Olicity, who will join The Flash's WestAllen in the bonds of matrimony during the crossover. And of course Sanvers. Far as I go it's like an old ad for Clorets breath mints and gum..."costs a little more; but it's worth it."

I actually don't mind if Mon-el ends up the endgame.....as long as it is written far different from their first few months together. A strong, stable, fight by my side, a little bit of good natured competition like her and Barry, work is work and home is home kind of relationship....I'm all for it.

But the shippers do need to be put in their place, and realize that their "fanon" and their "desires" do not have to be forced on the writers like bullies....chilling would take them very far I'm sure.

I agree with you on your points Kelly. But sometimes the writers are the writers. If Kara and Mon-El are written the way you suggest, it would be kind of like if I may bring up classic movies and pairings, Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. And I would like Kara and Mon-El to be like Kara and Barry from Worlds Finest, trade clever quips, then go into action or do things at work. The things that are for home, you do there. But like I said, writers are writers.

Kara never really had a “real” love interest. He is not gonna be Kara’s love interest. He isnt even a regular cast member. And Mon-El is a series regular. His supposed love interest Saturn Girl is not a series regular either.

Not this season, but could be next season.

The way I see it is:

James = infatuation
Mon-El = falling for the bad boy
??? = true love

I don't see Mon-el as just falling for the bad boy, you don't have the deep cut of her putting him in that pod if that is all their relationship was......I think possibly Mon-el is 1 of two things, and both include him being her "true love".

1. They end up back together....
2. She has love interests along the way, but nothing along the lines of Mon-el....

But yeah the synopsis for episode 10 says the legion were here to help deal with Reign. Im going to go and say that the Legion tried getting rid of the problem before it started but miscalculated and ended up with their ship under the ocean since you have to calculate for time as well as space when you time travel. (Its never shown but I'm guessing the wave rider on Legends automatically does this)

That pod has nothing to do with the Legion of Superheroes (as I said in the news article on the site announcing Brainiac 5's casting).

It's from Krypton, and contains 1 or more of the hooded "death cult" members who sent Reign to Earth.

The fact that the show flashed back to "22 hours earlier" immediately after Sam saw herself with Kryptonese all over her body and received a 'visit' from one of said hooded cult members who told her "soon you will reign" should've made that crystal clear.

Also, at this point it's pretty clear that Mon-El went to the future and will be arriving in "Legion of Superheroes" with the eponymous team.
