Now the people at Warners will air an ad for the film...during the Puppy Bowl. That is the long-running event thought of as counterprogramming to the Super Bowl, which will be aired on Animal Planet, which happens to be owned by Warner Brothers Discovery. Synergy it's called in the corporate world of media.
The Puppy Bowl features teams of puppies on a makeshift football field competing in a game where the scores can be run up and there can be penalties for excessive barking. All of them are up for adoption.

Some on social media are thinking of it as a sign Supergirl will flop at the Box Office. This as there was a recent report of controversy surrounding the box office numbers on 2025's Superman by Ted Sarandos, CEO of Netflix, which is looking to buy WBD.
