Winn Returning in Season 5B

Jeremy Jordan fans, your worries can be laid to rest. The intrepid best friend of Kara Danvers (before Lena), Winn Schott, is returning for three episodes in the second half of this season! Entertaintment Tonight broke the story earlier today. The context in which Winn's return happens is being kept underwraps. What is telling is that this is going to take place after the biggest crossover event in the Arrowverse to-date. Many fans have speculated that the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths might merge the multiverse into one singular universe. Could that have a part to play in why Jeremy Jordan's character returns? Your guess is as good as ours!

Winn's return will happen after the Crisis. He may not be the same Winn as before.

In Crisis, anybody who fought the Anti-Monitor will remember the Multiverse. Those who didn't will not remember the Multiverse in the reborn universe. Winn could be part of the reborn universe and may not remember working with Kara.

Gonna be interesting that's for sure...

Very possible, or they might simply go with the a/the previous Crisis on Earth-X version of General Winn just to throw everyone for a loop. Remember, we're talking about unifying "all" universes into one. ;-)

This news puts a big smile on my face. I've missed his character. Now if only they could bring Monty back for a few episodes along with Winn. That would double my pleasure.

That's superb news wish it was more than just 3 episodes, not being horrible I would rather that Jimmy Olsen had been written out, I have never liked the character in whatever the character been in (from the movies and Lois & Clark), I have always felt that the writers have struggled how to write him, so if was got rid of he wouldn't be missed in my opinion.

Can't say I've missed him. Since he started working for the DEO he became a boring character

So... so... So ok... Something on my mind: Something I haven't liked since the Legion told Alex that Supergirl wasn't going to die after the Reign beat down was just that--the fact that we kinda already knew everything was going to be ok, taking away some of the drama. BUT..... with Crisis and Winn possibly coming back due to it, I wish it would be something that would make everything uncertain in the future.

The future is always certain, until it isn't, and vice versa.

I kinda thought the Legion was taking a little too much for granted with that spiel. If I learned nothing else from watching the Flash and the Legends in action, I learned that when you go back in time, you can screw things up in unexpected ways. Sometimes for the better, but still...

At the time, I even suspected they were deliberately overstating their certainty regarding Supergirl & Reign to protect their mission.

They also ended up being wrong about future being set in stone. After all, Brainy had to stay back because of that. And the whole Titan/Other Planets peace went for a toss also because of that.

Cool Beans.....

Indeed!

Welcome home, Winn...may your battles of wit with Brainy be full of vim and vigor!

I think he might be the one to "give Kara her new super suit."

Excellent news! Now if only they could bring Calista Flockhart back for a couple of episodes. That would be the icing on the cake. 8)
