Superman fans of the 90's you just got an amazing gift! The New Adventures of Superman alumna, Teri Hatcher, famous for her protrayal of Lois Lane on the aforementioned show, will be joining the cast of Supergirl in the second half of the season as a new Big Bad according to Deadline.com! The character she'll play has yet to be revealed, but with Lillian Luthor soon to be on the loose, this could be big trouble for our Girl of Steel. Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg has this to day about the casting:

No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg, and the fans.

Gotta love the honor they give to the past actors and actresses of the world of Superman. I had a big feeling Terri Hatcher would be given a role in Supergirl. It'll be fun to watch Dean Cain and her reunited. None of the main cast of Smallville have been given roles in Supergirl yet (except Laura V).

Love it. Back in December, I asked,

"How come no one here ever talks about Teri Hatcher who played my favorite Lois Lane ever. She's an excellent actress and would make a great Villain on Supergril."

And no one said a peep!

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I'm off to see if the Teri Hatcher Lois fans are still around to make sure they know :)

I loved Lois and Clark.TNAoSM. I've notived Barry's Flash borrows a lot from Clark's character too, like speed reading, speed drawing etc.

I reckon she's one of the hooded space people. Anyhow hopefully the main villain, whether it is her or not, gets a bit more attention and relevance from now on.

Teri also played Lois's mother on smallville, I love that they have kept her in the DC universe, she's a wonderful actress and I'm beyond excited to see what she can do with a big bad role.

Can't wait to see what role Teri will play in this season and I wonder if we'll see a reunion between her and Dean Cain.

If she's the big bad instead of Lillian Luthor, then I have to wonder how well they're planning this season.
