Honestly, I'm going to be ticked if they skip past the trauma. An article said they would address it, but it wouldn't be the first time the show has bungled up something like that. IMO, Kara should have carried more trauma with her after Reign nearly beat her to death, or after Reign killed her friends (before Kara reset the timeline). Or they should have played up her severe claustrophobia when she woke up in the Anti-Kryptonite Suit for the first time, not knowing if or when she'd be able to take it off.

The show has an unfortunate history of downplaying Kara's trauma, and by extension, her humanity and focus as the primary character. We touched on it in Red Faced. The only time, after that, that she's carried it with her is when she lost Mon-El at the end of season 2, which should not be more severe than these other traumatic experiences, IMO.

So yeah. I hope they explore this traumatic experience for Kara. We cannot afford anymore missed opportunities in this season, with only 13 episodes left.

The one thing that does surprise me - the writers seem to be going straight into comedy with Kara's dad without any exploration as to how Kara's time in the Phantom zone may have affected her (i.e. withdrawn, nightmares, belief that actual surroundings are real). For someone who spent many years of her childhood in the Phantom zone I would tend to think that Kara would be experiencing some negative effects from being there again. I really thought that would be one of the things that Kelly would be helping with.

Also, it is not normal that Eliza would not be there to greet Kara when she comes home. There is no way that Kara could have been in the PZ with Alex despondent over thinking she was permanently gone and Eliza never being told.....nor was Alura told about what was going on (even though she had knowledge of how the PZ was constructed). How would one in real life explain to both of Kara's mothers that their daughter was in the PZ for a significant time and although she (Alex) at one point became convinced she wasn't coming back still figured she tell them both about it later.

All of the aforementioned issues should have been or should show as eventually being addressed in the Trailer for the next episode. Sometimes, to me, it seems the writers have mentally departed from realistically writing the show.  

That is an excellent point that you mention. Kara's mom created the PZ who would be best to tell someone how to get out of it than her. I guess that idea/fact didn't click in the heads of any of the writers. If I had my choice of people I would love to see come back for this last group of episodes they would be: Cat Grant, Eliza Danvers, Winn, James, Lucy Lane.
