I just think the way J'onn's father says coffee is so unique and adorable :-)

I agree with you SuperMatt Sam's mother doesn't seem like the hugging caring grandmother type at all.

She isn’t Thomas Bradford’s wife from Eight is Enough, that’s for sure.

Looking forward to seeing the interaction between J'onn and his father. His father is right that J'onn's whole life revolves around the DEO and the question becomes can J'onn find a happy balance between his personal life and his work life - that has been the plight of the working person since the beginning of time.

Meanwhile, Sam's mother isn't exactly the loving caring type. I hope she does provide Sam with some answers regarding her past.

So far I have enjoyed every episode of Season 3 and when I look at the reviews of the people who are streaming it through Amazon, it has gotten very good reviews so far.

So much so jacks, that I think there is a pre-order in for the season 3 DVD...I swear I saw it, either here or in the forum.

You're right Robert, I know I have pre-ordered mine on Amazon.

Thanks for the confirm, jacksc.

Looking forward to seeing the scenes in their proper context and how the relationships will work out. Should be an interesting and engaging episode. Only a few hours more to go. 8)

Sams mom being sort of distant to the point of not knowing Ruby does pour some water on her potentially adopting Ruby.

Respectfully, New 52 Supergirl was a friendless, rebellious, naive crazy person. TV Kara is far from that.

I know that knight, but I am just getting this feeling that there are elements of New 52 in the writing. TV Kara has Alex, her mom, friends and co-workers, but she is emotionally lost and looks to take her frustrations out.

This season has been tough, except for last week's wonderful Midvale because there is just too much EMO stuff. I know these shows have season 3's with them (take The Flash) and it's the polar opposite of what people expect.

Arrow is supposed to be brooding and dark
Supergirl, light and fun
The Flash, in the middle.

Well Arrow is in the middle
The Flash is fun and crazy, though sometimes bordering on camp
And Supergirl...well this is more New 52 than Silver Age and I did not like New 52.

Legends I don't count because it's been able to maintain its wit, humor and even a little heart (Phone Home for example) and last week's snappy and crackling Helen Hunt (except for Damien Dahrk). Seeing Firestorm switch sides was a RIOT!

And what is it with these shows and estranged parents? As a child of one myself, a father, I wish to not be reminded of that, again.

Respectfully, New 52 Supergirl was a friendless, rebellious, naive crazy person. TV Kara is far from that.
