With an event like Crisis on Infinite Earths coming up, its no wonder the season feels like its been split in two, and there is good reason for it! What is especially interesting to us is how the network is now calling it a mid-season finale! That's just what episode eight of Supergirl is going to be this season! Since episode nine begins Crisis, they need to put a nice point on the first eight episodes! Will troubles from these first eight episodes linger after Crisis? We'll have to wait and see, for now, read the synopsis below:
MID-SEASON FINALE – Supergirl’s (Melissa Benoist) struggle against Leviathan reaches a boiling point as she faces off against Rama Khan (guest star Mitch Pileggi). Meanwhile, as Lena (Katie McGrath) and Hope (Andrea Brooks) work to launch Project Non Nocere, Hope proves to be an invaluable asset to Lena. Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Lindsay Struman & Jessica Kardos (#508).

Ah yes! Sorry. I totally forgot it's always the last Thursday of November. It seems like a great tradition for Americans. Unfortunately, that tradition was lost by most Canadians somewhere in time...
The Hippocratic Oath I believe.
That would be 11/28 here in the states.
No, not end necessarily. I believe Leviathan has been preparing for Crisis this hole time attempting to secure their base of power. So I think Leviathan could be part of the storyline after Crisis but I dont think Supergirl can just pick up business as usual from where episode 8 leaves off. Crisis should have an impact that viewers see even if the characters knowledge was altered by the merge and they dont realize things changed when the multiverse merged to a universe. You have multiple versions of surviving characters merging into one. For example, if Earth 1 and Earth 38 Alex become one, their respective history rewrites itself.
I just checked my Showcase station in Canada and on November 24th, they're showing a movie. This is your Thanksgiving holiday in the US, right? So, it looks like the episode will air on December 1st.
Hum... that probably means that Kara (she's probably devastated) did find out about what Lena did but Lena doesn't care, is still angry and carries on. Kara and Lena will probably be at odds for awhile.
The past crossovers just never had any effect on the Supergirl storylines, as if those were just like a dream for Kara (and Alex). I'm looking forward to seeing the effects of post crisis on Earth 38, because I expect that everyone would think they have all co-existed with all surviving Earths.
