Judging by the nineteen brand new photos of Supergirl's season four finale, we are going to get to see Supergirl in multiple ways! Kara shows up to take on Lex Luthor and his new weapon in her Lena Luthor designed super suit, without the helmet though which we think looks awesome! That doesn't mean the traditional suit doesn't show up, we are seeing at least an image of that as well! Finally based on the synopsis, reporter Kara is likely to make a scene or two as well. Supergirl three ways! Sign us up! The fall of the Children of Liberty also looks to be at hand and Dreamer, J'onn and Brainy have a very interesting plot to wrap up! We can't wait! check out the images below:

Dreamer is cute, but she doesn't really add much to the show, I think. The show should focus on Supergirl, so it doesn't need other superheroes. There are a lot of characters on SG already, and at times, the plot becomes overwhelming because it's difficult to advance the plot for all of them. When that happens, SG herself sometimes gets overlooked. A recurring role for Dreamer would be all right, I suppose.
The show tends to wrap everything up with the finale and leave us a very brief glimpse of the next season's big bad, so I expect it to do just that again.
Brainy might well be part of the upcoming Crisis, so it makes sense that he would stay evil into next season. If the show follows its usual format, we will see SG, Alex, Hank, etc. all happy and settled in, thinking everything is fine, and then bam! The writers will hit us quickly with a glimpse of next season's big bad.

Dreamer isn’t going anywhere. The actress has already said she’s back next season. Not sure why you would think she’d be leaving. I think it’s possible that one of the held-over “cliffhangers” is that she and J’onn will still be wherever the aliens were taken and “bad Brainy” won’t try to get them back - deeming it unnecessary. Then they’d have the dual problems of getting “their” Brainy back (enter Winn - who has been mentioned for next season) and getting the other half of the “superfriends” back from the portal.
This isn't constructive criticism. Its cool to disagree with the show and share your opinion, but let's also keep it respectful too.
I look forward to seeing the finale this season, but the finales always make me sad, too. There are so many months of no Supergirl in between!
I think this finale will actually be action packed, and I plan to be on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I'll bet the new supersuit is just to battle Red Daughter, who also has a supersuit that gives her more power than Supergirl has without a supersuit. That blast that made the sun go dark was extremely powerful. Lex knows the Supes extremely well, so he knows just what will make them powerless.
There is no way Red Daughter is dead now, but I expect her to die at the end of the finale. We will see a heart-gripping scene with her and Kara/Supergirl, in which Red Daughter will be redeemed and die because of the Harun El.
James will have to have the Harun El removed from him, and then he will tell Supergirl how difficult it really was to have those powers.
Agent Liberty is a goner, too, I think. He will die because of the raw Harun El he took. He might explode or melt. ;)
I'm not sure what will happen with Dreamer. Chances are she will help save the day, and then she will probably just not appear in Season 5. They might mention her in the beginning, like they did Sam in the first episode of this season.
Brainy is probably going bad, I'm sad to say. I wonder if turning Brainy bad is a precursor to Crisis on Infinite Earths. I've heard the other Arrowverse shows had elements that previewed Crisis in their finales.
I wonder if Alex will adopt the little boy that Red Daughter loves so much.
As for James this season, I still feel that due to the instability of the Harun El, James and Ben Lockwood will have to give up their powers if they wish to live. We saw Ben's hair starting to fall out in last week's episode and we saw how Jimmy was breaking down due to the instability of the substance. I project that the only open problem that will not be resolved at season's end is Brainiac. I think that is where Winn's role for next season will come in.
I'll quote u one better....this series will go as long as Melissa wants to wear the suit, so as of now? At least 7 seasons. I will always watch the show, maybe not live but it will always get a binge. The character of James, or any other character on the show, besides the lead changing will keep me from enjoying Melissa's portrayal of this iconic character...
They have t listened to fans or their ratings EVER. So why start now.
As others have said. Too much to tie up in one episode so we won’t see too much Supergirl action I bet and it will be rushed and sloppy.
This is what happens when you hire your writers on Kijiji.
If James still has powers next year or they change her suit permanently Im out for season five and quote me here, it will be the last season.
I’m still betting on Red Daughter being alive (if not, then WOW, that’s bad writing) and sacrificing herself at the end to either stop or kill Lex.
Sadly, I agree that Lex probably tells Lena Kara’s secret. Then one of the subplots next season will be “when is Lena going to tell Kara she knows”. Still don’t think Lena will ever turn evil. At this point they have invested waaaay too much time making her a fully developed character. She may never forgive Kara, but that’s not going to turn her into a villain. This isn’t Game of Thrones.
The multitude of plot lines they still need to tie up has already been mentioned, and I think that the Brainy vs Braniac situation will be carried over to next season.
