The Legion of Superheroes Trailer

Kara was beaten to within an inch of her life. She may be in a coma and without her, the city is essentially defenseless! Kara needs to find a way to heal but in her stead, Mon-El and the Legion of Superheroes will step up to take on Reign! We'll get to see Mon-El, Saturn Girl and Brainiac-5 in action! Of course, if that isn't enough, we'll get to see Reign return as well! Is she fully gone over to the dark side or is Sam still in there at all? Only 42 days to go until we get to see for ourselves! I was going off the deleted scene flashback when Alex read her letter from the college, they might have changed it for the actual season though.... I don't remember the Hope street part but then again it is finals week and my brain is shotttt lol

This is what I was going by.....

That Hope Street sign is the actual sign on that corner, not something added for the show. The real-world address of that building is 1200 South Hope Street, Los Angeles. For the pilot (and only the pilot), the scenes in Kara’s apartment were filmed in the studio space on the fourth floor. www.hudsonloft.com/

In the real world, it is on the corner of South Hope and West 12th streets in Los Angeles. Perhaps in the fictional world of Earth 38, it is the corner of Hope and Argo streets in National City and has an Argo Street address rather than a Hope Street address.

"Since the show stated she was a biomedical engineer I always assumed she finished her degree while employed with the DEO."

Alex was never referred to as a biomedical engineer on the TV show. There was just one reference to it the "Adventures of Supergirl" comics series that paralleled the TV series. In the comics, Alex was described as a brash, young biomedical engineer when she first started working for the DEO.
Maybe Alex didn't make it into medical school after being put on academic probation, so she decided to study biomedical engineering instead. (It is a high-paying field, with many new job openings every year.)

And I believe a biomedical engineer is someone who maintains, repairs, and creates the equipment used but maybe she was studying medical until DEO recruited her and she went a different way.

But her being Kara's sister should pretty much automatically take her off the medical case, to emotional.

When she was brought into the DEO she had been kicked out of college...

I thought she was on academic probation according to the letter she received from the University of National City. Since the show stated she was a biomedical engineer I always assumed she finished her degree while employed with the DEO.

Could be totally wrong, I've never been on academic probation so don't know how that really works.

Side note Alex and now Kara apartment is on Argo Street I thought that was interesting.

Then they changed Kara's street name, it was Hope Street in Seasons 1 and 2.

Yeah...when Alex zapped her with the anti-red kryptonite rifle, and Kara calapsed, Alex ran straight to her. In the fall finale, I kept sayin, "Well, don't just squat there Alex. Or, at least, say somethin to her." lol It did just seem like even Alex was just in total shock. On Grey's, Little Grey would have been taken off the case so fast, her head would spin. bah ha ha

I think they truly thought she was dead, and were in shock.

I agree with Kelly, but Alex froze for only a couple of seconds before getting Kara help.

She did look pretty dead. And the comment about Little Grey was due to Alex being Kara's sister, and not being permitted to "work on" a family member's case. But, as many here have already pointed out, Alex probably knows more about Kara's guts than anyone else.

Does being an expert on Alien Physiology count? Alex mentioned that in the Pilot.
Yes, she is an expert on that and I would guess that her knowledge of Kara's physiology is more extensive than anyone else's. That, along with her intelligence and knowledge of the biomedical field, etc., should allow her to provide valuable input into solutions into Kara's medical problems. But, how much experience she has within the medical field itself is an unknown, I think.

My thought is that perhaps SG is killed in their timeline but, they don't know exactly how or when. If their world is dark, then maybe historical records were destroyed at some point and knowledge of it is only through second-hand story-telling. Mon-el and Irma can't say anything because that would mess up the timeline, which is not something that they should do. Along with that, maybe the writers don't want us to know that SG is eventually killed at the moment. (saving it as a bombshell later on). That could explain the suspicious behavior now.

I think you are on to something, but I think they know exactly when she is killed, and that is why Mon-el goes ahead and marries Imra.

So you don't think the fan rumor going around, that Imra is using mind control on Monel and they aren't really married, is true? I was just wondering because I don't think she's ever been evil in the comics. Of course, the show doesn't always go by comics so....
I don't think she's actively mind controlling him, for some evil purpose or otherwise. However, she did say that Mon-El couldn't move on for a long time, so I think it's possible that she used her powers to ease his emotions and help him move on/forget about Kara, possibly even with his consent.
