The House of L Gallery

Lex Luthor has been pulling the strings on many different events in National City and no one, not even Lena, saw it coming! Lex has always wanted to bring down the Man of Steel but now he has set his eyes on Supergirl. Just like he said last episode, "you can't break a Kryptonian, but perhaps you can bend one". Now that Lex is healthy, he is going to check on his investment. That of course seems to be Red Daughter herself! Did Lex cause the accident with the Harunel that created Red Daughter? Sterling Gates is great. I think it would be wonderful to see him on the team in some capacity. As far as original villains for Supergirl, it's not any different than any other show or story. All villains had to start in someone's imagination before they were put down on paper for a comic, movie, show or novel. Superman villains started in this same way. There's absolutely no reason why Supergirl couldn't have her own villains or her own stories- they have an entire team of writers to come up with such things. To some extent, Alex is an original character that Ali Adler created in Season 1.

I'm not sure what I want to see happen with the DEO. I would be okay with dismantling it as long as they used a place such as J'onn's office as the new battle station. I don't want to see the Fortress as that is associated with Superman or L-Corp. I think the biggest weakness, regarding setting, is CatCo. That part of Kara's life has always been a bit mundane and I would have absolutely no qualms in getting rid of that and finding something else for her to do - if she even needs even something else.

"I actually miss the dead guy's office that Kara, James and Winn (and Barry Allen... once) used in season 1. "

Me, too! That's why I've never stopped using it as the setting for Supergirl Team meetings in my own fan fiction stories.

@Kiwi. If you have some ideas of "Supergirl" villains or story ideas, I'm eager to hear them. But I'm just not coming up with much.

What I really want is for the show-runners to bring Sterling Gates over from The Flash and make him head writer of Supergirl. I would also like them to adapt his 2 Supergirl comic book runs (2008-2011 and the 2016 TV show tie-in "The Adventures of Supergirl"). Sterling loves the character of Supergirl (like many of us here) and I'm 100% confident he would deliver some great stories about Kara/Supergirl. Sterling wrote the Season 2 episode with Mxy and gave us one of the best moments for Supergirl in the series so far when she defeated Mxy using her wits and intelligence. Sterling also wrote my favourite episode of The Flash (Season 4's Enter Flashtime) which gave Barry an absolutely awesome save the city hero moment.

Just another note on the photos (as that's what we're supposed to be talking about), I like Melissa's hair for her Red Daughter character.

The Mxy episode from season 2 was great. I hope they bring Sterling back for more episodes. My favorite scene is when Kara and Monty had the argument at the DEO because Monty was jealous of Mxy. That's when you knew they were made for each other.

I would very much enjoy Lex Luthor remaining as a continuing villain in the series. John Cryer’s performance was wonderful. I like the idea that you can perform a different take on a major character. The theater does this all the time. I find Cryer’s interpretation refreshing (not that the traditional one is bad). It’s a Machiavellian performance mixed with charm, wit, and black humor.

As other fans mentioned, I believe that the DEO location and subplot is tired and worn. I advocate that the crew moves over to J’onn’s Detective Agency and work with him. It would be refreshing and Alex and Brainy can work with J’onn. What do do y’al Think?

I'm with you: no more DEO! I like J'onn's office. Anywhere but the DEO is better and more fun. That place is depressing! I actually miss the dead guy's office that Kara, James and Winn (and Barry Allen... once) used in season 1. Maybe they could eventually even use one of Lena's properties... ;)

Not sure how it could be done, but I would love to say good-bye to the DEO. IMO, that would bring the series back around to being Kara centered. I also, agree that I am enjoying Jon as Lex, but would not want him around for more than a few episodes. But definitely looking foward to the next couple of episodes.

How would Alex leave the DEO? THe President pulls one stunt too many, and she resigns effective immediately...OK, as soon as you get a new bodyguard out here, but not more than thirty minutes. Alternatively, Colonel Haley fires her.

Related scene I would like to see. Supergirl, having had a fight with Other Supergirl, arrives at DEO HQ. Colonel Haley starts screaming at her to get out.. Kara: I'm strictly a delivery service, and unwraps her cape, which had been folded in front of her. Out comes Colonel Haley's daughter. Do you know this person? I rescued her and her two friends. Didn't I (name of daughter)?

I'm just wondering who's head Lena hit with the trophy she's holding in her hand...

The one that reads "Lex Luthor Man of Tomorrow"! :D

Kara may be the Girl of Steel, but Lena's the Girl of Iron(y).

Why do I suspect Lena was a bit annoyed with Miss Tessmacher?
