"Lena on the other hand is a tech genius, something the DEO could actually find a use for..."

But don't they already have one in Winn?

It wouldn't hurt Winn to have someone to bounce ideas off of. Anyway as I said I don't think she is going to work there. My point is that someone who's good at spreading information is worse than useless to a secret organization (cat), where as a tech genius would be useful for nearly anyone to have around.

Well- since most of everybody will be gone by season's end.

Come again ?

Igold is referencing a possible leak of info on the finale. I didn't bother to read the full "leak." However, what totally blows my mind is people all up in arms on social media, saying all the male actors are leaving--leaving the show a hot mess. Silly, people. There's these things called "cliffgangers." Did Mon-El not leave in last year's finale, only to return? That wasn't a question I'm asking for an answer to. Just, I don't understand the anger I've seen based on this actor or that actor leaving. Which, again, is all based on a supposed leak of what's to come in upcoming episodes.

"It’s a relationship of equals. As far as Lena is concerned, Kara is Kara. Kara is not Supergirl. For Lena, she has a friend on the same level as her, who is fantastic at their job, is intelligent, smart, capable and strong. What’s lovely is it’s two normal women figuring out life together as friends. I think that’s what is important to Lena, that she has somebody where she doesn’t have to be the head of the company. She doesn’t have to be somebody’s daughter. She can just be herself. And, Kara can be that. She doesn’t have to be Supergirl or a reporter. She can just be the flawed human being that we are."

And I agree with Katie 100%

Same here igold. By the way, where does this quote come from?

I get the impression that there is some belief that Lena is the be-all, end-all on the show and should fill every role that is available. The show already has too much overlap in character purpose which lends to a lack of diversity to draw stories from and also leads to characters becoming irrelevant. If Lena is going to stay good and continue to be Kara's friend, then Lena should continue that role outside of the DEO. Kara already has Winn and Alex as friends (yes, sisters can also be best friends) at the DEO and for specialized tech so, sticking Lena there, too, would be redundant.

The best part of Cat's role in Kara's life was that she stayed at CatCo for 99.9% of the time and was rarely involved in DEO action. That allowed for us to distinguish between Kara and Supergirl's life and for Kara to also keep a separation between the two. Since Cat is gone, that would be the best role for Lena to fill, if she doesn't go full-blown villain - which might actually be interesting if Kara had to work for her

I'm interested to see what they do with James in this episode. I hope it puts him back on the right track rather than further derail his character and his relationship with Kara.

Very nice. Thanks for posting it. It should be an interesting and topical episode. ;-)

Many of us have said it before...I don't want Lena to be too good or too bad. I want to always be guessing with her. We're already getting what some of us have asked for since last season--a Kara/Lena/Supergirl triangle. Loving it.

Agreed on Lena being too good or too bad, but the triangle is a little stressful. LOL

But I wouldn't want to see her become a villian either. That has to be the least imaginative thing they could do, have a Luther turn evil. Plus we already have Lillian Luther if the writers need an evil female Luther, so, haveing Lena turn evil would be redundant.

Exactly. I think they need to keep Kara and Sg separate, period. The below is a quote for Katie McGrath:

"It’s a relationship of equals. As far as Lena is concerned, Kara is Kara. Kara is not Supergirl. For Lena, she has a friend on the same level as her, who is fantastic at their job, is intelligent, smart, capable and strong. What’s lovely is it’s two normal women figuring out life together as friends. I think that’s what is important to Lena, that she has somebody where she doesn’t have to be the head of the company.
