Alura is alive! Many have known that is the case from several images floating around the internet but after last night's trailer and today's new images, we can finally confirm it! How is she alive and in what capacity still remains a mystery. Right now we are curious if there is some level of time-travel taking place. The trailer seemed to suggest it. It would also need to address the time gap. Kara was in suspended animation for 12ish years. Living under a yellow sun Kryptonians age very slowly (via Superman season 2) but is Argo getting yellow sun energy? Check out the images for yourself below:

Interesting in Photo 1 that Kara's robe (sorry don't know what else to call it) fits her perfectly but Mon-El's looks about 2 sizes too big.

Yeah the first thing I thought was "what is Mon-el hiding under there?" :D

Eric you are probably right about the use of Time travel, otherwise without time travel or a yellow sun, Alura should be roughly 71 years old.

Here is how I roughly calculated:

All actors birthdays available on IMBD

Margin of error = 3 years (Melissa was 27 when the pilot aired on 26 October 2015, Kara was 24)

Currently Erica Durance is one year older than Laura Benanti. I’ll use Laura Benanti’s Pilot Episode age 36, minus the margin of error making Alura 33 when Krypton exploded or 20 when she gave birth to Kara.

According to Season 1 Kara spent 24 years in the phantom zone (Hollywood likes multiples in dozens) and is 27 in current episodes (Season two Birthday/Earthday episode aired February 6th) she should be 51

51+20 = 71.

WHEW! This is something ol Brainy could decipher. My mind's a bit heated up just reading this. By the way, to talk of birthdays, a BIGGIE comes up for Melissa...as in the Big 3-0...this October.

Other margins for error:
Distance between Krypton and Rao, also speed of orbit and length of day, how long was a Kryponian year compared to ours?

Is it me or the pics of Alex dyeing Ruby's hair...we saw that in last nights episode right?

Uou are correct.

Yeah, the blue hair did give me a bit of a 'Grail' vibe though. Dont think they'll go that route tho.

Anyways feelings about this argo city plotline...well, theres lots of ways we could see a MASSIVE power imbalance if a whole city Kryptonians are on earth next season. Read the Dark Knight III: Master Race to see what comic arc I think will be adapted.

I noticed that in picture number 8, SuperGirl and her mother hold their hands together in the same way - daughter like mother.
