The Bottle Episode Synopsis

So many of us are curious where the Arrowverse will be once the major crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths, is over. While we won't know for sure until January 14th, we are getting a first glimpse via the synopsis for season five episode nine titled "The Bottle Episode". This episode welcomes Jesse Rath's sister Meaghan Rath in the role of Brainy. Could this be an odd outcome from Crisis? The synopsis doesn't give us much more than that. The title does seem to hint at a contained episode! Check out the synopsis for yourself below:

MEAGHAN RATH GUEST STARS – The subsequent complications from the Crisis leave Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) to face a chaotic threat. Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode with story by Derek Simon and teleplay by Nicki Holcomb & Jen Troy (#510). Original airdate 1/19/2020.

The siblings do look alike. This should be interesting.

This episode will against the Championship game on FOX which is pretty stupid of CW imo. CBS is taking a break on that day with their line up of dramas. ABC will air their game shows as usual.

Well, CW has to air new episodes sometime...

They know they'll take a hit. Like Kelly mentioned the +3 and +7 will bounce back, and those seem to carry more weight with CW than other networks.

As for the episode title, I look forward to a spirited Bottle Episode, but I'm hoping I don't need a bottle of spirits during the episode. :D

Well with her, Supergirl has its first cast member, far as I know from the current Hawaii Five-O, now in it's 10th season on CBS, which aired the classic (and best) version from 1968-1980.

Speaking of season 10, my favorite arrangement of the old school H-5-O theme happens to be from season 10 (1977-1978); composed by Morton Stevens, but arranged by John Cacavas.

Sounds like Kandor....

Thinking the same thing. Would be great to see that show up.

Sounds intriguing, maybe that’s the only way Argo can be brought back.

I want to do a PSA and warn everyone that after this episode there’s likely going to be a break before episode 11.
January 26th=Grammy Awards
February 2nd=Super Bowl
February 9th= Academy Awards
Which puts episode 11 airing on February 16th. Last year the show skipped these events and I can’t see CW changing that, heck the big networks don’t air new episodes against those events. The only upside is hopefully like last year this means a shorter spring break than the weekday shows.

This year it seems like CW will air on Grammy Night no clue why though. But they are smart enough of course to skip Superbowl and Oscar Night.

I thought the same thing last year when SG's return was also up again the NFL playoff leading into the Superbowl. The playoffs, the Oscar's and the Superbowl have a large diverse audience and need to be watched live. Scheduling against it makes little sense. Especially if there is a mini reboot attached. You are getting off on a bad footing.

I, like many, assumed the bottle episode may be Kandor related. I was thinking when they bring back Earth that maybe Argo is now in the bottle or perhaps Aurora or Aster is in Kandor.

Isn't this episode 10? I though 9 was part 1 of Crisis.

Meh, it will pick up the viewers in +3 and +7...

It could be the Bottled City of Kandor and Brainiac 5.1.
