YES!!!! We are so excited! Tyler Hoechlin's Superman is returning this season for the finale episode! What incredible news! Tyler's Superman was widely accepted by the fan community as a very genuine and authentic Superman. Eonline.com has been able to confirm that the Man of Steel will be returning! When Tyler was first announced to play the part, it was unclear if he would be in two or three episodes. It was always our hope that it would be three and Andrew Kreisberg wanted it that way too.

We're thrilled working with Tyler, [it's] been an amazing experience. We just selfishly hope we get to do it again because he really added to the show in [his own] way.

I'm not sure about it promoting gender balance, not sure how, but I do believe that it is to cover small shoulders.

Before we all go crazy lets remember returning doesn't mean Superman will be in the whole episode. Parasite was "back" for about a minute. Kevin Sorbo said had a three episode arc it was 30 seconds in one and two episodes. The EPs tend to exaggerate things.

My nephew will certainly be happy. Supergirl is his favorite show, but Superman is his overall favorite superhero.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!! Now that's what I'm talking about!!!!!! Some superpower superhero action. I love Superman and seeing him and SuperGirl together just means this is going to be the best season finale ever. Now if they also brought back Cat for the season finale that would be the icing on the cake. I hope this means that Season 3 will be SuperGirl action packed.
