There are so many different rating systems out there its hard to keep track of any of them. However, one does stand out as a common source for decent ratings and is endorsed by none-other-than Apple! That of course is RottenTomatoes.com. Today, Rotten Tomatoes has come out with their top rated shows of 2016. In the category of "Best-Reviewed TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror 2016" Supergirl has come out on top and received the Golden Tomato award! Using their weighted score system, Supergirl beat out all other contenders with an unbelievable 100.382% fresh rating! The show was described by Rotten Tomatoes as:
The arrival of the more famous cousin in Supergirl does nothing to detract from the show's lead, who continues to deliver strength, action, and relatability.
2017 is looking to be another banner year for Supergirl but this 2016 season 2 accolade can't be overlooked! Congrats to the cast and crew! Also to put this into perspective, Supergirl beat out Stranger Things, Luke Cage and even Game of Thrones!!!!! You can see the full list here.

Idina Menzel? If Melissa runs into her backstage...expect a duet of "Let it Go" or some other kind of silliness. Again this is backstage.
Well, actually the announced guest host will be Anderson Cooper, but Idina Menzel is also scheduled to be interviewed (which should also be lively, since she just announced a forthcoming world tour this week).
If that's the case, then Little Miss Funshine's about to stirke again! Perhaps both Supergirl and Patriots Day will be discussed.
Last time she was on, Michael Strahan was Kelly Ripa's co-host and the show aired a day before Thanksgiving 2015. And Melissa lit up the studio!
Now, Kelly Ripa has guest co-hosts with her on the show. Wouldn't it be a riot if Melissa was her co-host that day?
For me, the key word is relatability. Other superhero shows may have strength and action, but Supergirl blows them all away when it comes to relatability!
All good, the important thing is to celebrate good news like this and it's certainly great to read. Well done to the EP's, Actors, Directors and all the crew for a show that we love.
