Supergirl Season 4 American Alien Trailer

Finally! We are getting our first look at the Girl of Steel in her fourth season! While at comic con, there was a season four trailer but was very sparce on new footage. This was entirely because Melissa was wrapping a summer job on Broadway (which was amazing and totally sanctioned by the show). Today, we have our first look at Nia Nal, Mercy Graves and the Super-Robot Suit (not sure what to call it) in action! There are admittedly some scenes that are from past seasons, most notably, Morgan Edge makes an appearance from the start of season 3 but we believe that was just to get the show of Supergirl removing her glasses. From the footage that is new, the show is looking great! Crisp clean, and ready to entertain! Check out the trailer below:

Looks good and I am very excited. Curious as to why they moved the show to Sunday.

The difference is those Nights was not new for CW. Sunday is a night they have not aired on in years.

Weird no one has the concern of the new Night for CW. This is a whole new Night for CW and general audience Nielsen viewers Probably have no clue Supergirl is switched to a Night CW hasnt aired on in years. CW need to up the promotion to get it known just not SG fans But all that CW air sundays now

If Arrow and Legends have survived being on 3 different nights in a 3 year span, Supergirl can survive one move. They are actually doing a lot of promotion for Sundays. I'm not seeing too many TV spots, yet, except for Charmed. But we'll get more, now, as we move closer.

But I've been seeing an online presence, promoting the move for Supergirl, for at least the past month.

I agree with others. This is more of a season trailer than an episode trailer. It featured footage from last year. And since they were filming out of order, it's a safe bet this new suit won't appear until episode 3 or 4.

I'm really just interested in who is using the Kryptonite, and how they got their hands on it. With Lena being the only source of it, it seems like no matter the answer, it's gonna stress that relationship more.

"Could the mask be something simular to what Krypton's first season appears to be doing with the voice of Rao, (no spoilers please Im only on episode 4) although Supergirl already tackled the Cult phenomenon last season."

Oh man, Eire El. You're gonna love the rest of the season. Great show!

I have to wonder if Hellgramites have twins? Perhaps their species all look the same? Because I think you're memory was correct. Now that you mention it, I think Astra DID say Alex killed him. Good catch.

I know CW is promoting this as a trailer for the first episode but to me it's the season four trailer they would've presented at SDCC had Melissa been available. We know production wise why the face covering suit was needed but I'm looking forward to seeing the story around it. Shout out to Melissa's stunt double Jennifer Clarke who's wearing that suit and kept production moving as best as possible while Melissa lived out a childhood dream.

Interesting to see the hellgrammite back, Kara is so much more experienced now he really shouldn't be a challenge. Since fear is part of the season's theme I hope we see Psi again since fear is her weapon of choice.

Echoing what others have said, the 'robot looking guy' is most likely Agent Liberty. The star on his chest is reminiscent of Captain America's suit, and the bronze metal face mask is likely a subtle reference to various iconic American symbols, like the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, and others.

Supergirl's 'space suit' is probably just an upgrade of the anti-kryptonite device from season 2, which didn't last very long and didn't offer full coverage. I suspect it'll only get used a few times during the season.

Did Astra not state he died, recognising it was by Alex's hand? I'll have to recheck season 1. Also wouldn't a hellgrammite be immune to their body's own naturally produced poison? Otherwise how could his species have survived basic evolution.

I'm wouldn't be surprised if he was brought back to life as it is a very common science fiction trope.

This was my question as well. I suppose that they never "officially" stated that he died from that and who knows how lethal a Hellgrammite stinger to the gut would be  .

Yes, possihly not. It kind of reminded me of the Red Tornado of Season 1 though. I, too, don't want to know all the details but, I thought that maybe it (the mechanical looking thing ;-) ) might have been a comic personality that I didn't know.

Actor Justice Leak has confirmed he is back as the Hellgrammite (00:06 of this trailer, last seen in S1 E2), from his Instagram "justice.leak @supergirl_spain oh nice! I hadn’t seen it yet. But yes you saw correctly. Hellgrammite is back baby " (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bnj50jHgHhC/?hl=en&taken-by=justice.leak).

 I wonder how he comes back since we clearly saw Alex stab him in the gut with his own stinger in 1x02

Maybe not a robot...perhaps the uniform of this anti-alien movement that Agent Liberty is leading? We're also not super clear on what kind of role Mercy and Otis will have, this year. But I like not knowing.

maybe its a dream of Nia's since she has precognitive abilities.
Could be. I am not aware of Nia's abilities or that she even had them I guess. Hard to really tell at this point. Like kdogg, I just really hope that the season lives up to the excitement generated from this release and is solid all the way throughout.
