Supergirl continues to be a bright spot for The CW, DC Comics and Warner Brothers (not to mention the fans). The awards and accolades that show has received have been incredible for any show let alone a superhero show. Adding to what they've accomplished so far, GLAAD has nominated the show for Outstanding Drama Series! For those that don't know GLAAD self describes as:

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.

Other nominees in the category range from Grey's Anatomy to Shadow Hunters. You can see more at GLAAD's website here.

This show deserve's it and I think that Chyler Leigh, Melissa Beniost, and David harewood deserve an emmy for their work on the show period.

To me, this type of recognition is better than an Emmy (or an Oscar, for that matter). Great to see that GLAAD members have been watching the show, too. :)
