So I am going to write this story a little differently than I usually do. This is coming from Eric and Kelsey site owners. We've always told you that if we ever felt there was a danger to the show not returning we would be the first to tell you. This is not a bad sign. As you may now have seen on our sister site, DCTV.news the schedule for the next season of the Arrowverse has been released and Supergirl was not on it. Do not worry, this is a good thing. This will allow Melissa and Chris time to have the baby and enjoy a well earned maternity leave. The show is still coming back. We are just going to have to wait a little longer than usual but given the circumstances, I think we all can agree its for a worthy cause. The specifics for when Supergirl will return aren't fully known yet but you know we'll keep you posted.
While we still have the season finale this week, we do want to really encourage you to join us this May, June, and July for Stargirl. When we were doing the "Best Episodes of Supergirl" challenge Midvale was consistently in good standing. This show reminds us of Supergirl season 1 mixed with Midvale! We've seen the first five episodes and we know Supergirl fans will love it! I think we were able to move all of your username accounts over to Stargirl.tv so you all should be able to keep your name. Supergirl is the reason we started all these DC news sites and we will always keep Supergirl our top priority. I have come to the point that I could care less about a group of people "haters" whatever ya want to call them, that continually call every relationship that Kara is in "inappropriate", "damaging", "forced", etc. *shaking head* They do not deserve any of my time or consideration with comments like "Kara was forced into that relationship by the harassment of Alex, Winn and William." That blows my mind. Am I a fan of Kara in "any relationship"? not really. I am far happier with Kara spending the majority of her time investigating and being Supergirl kicking arse.....but the arguments against this one, and most of the others borders on crazy.
I swear, Supergirl has been moved far too much. I totally get why they are waiting to start filming, and starting the season in the Spring. HOWEVER, I think a shortened season for Supergirl could be a mistake, maybe not....but could be if they continue to disrespect it in crappy time slots and constant breaks. IMO, it should get a full order of episodes and run a full course back in its Monday 7pm/8 Eastern timeslot. AND THEN there is the other part of me that says, no.....give it a short season, give us SOLID, STRONG, HEAVY SUPERGIRL CENTERED 13 to 15 episodes in the Spring of 2022 and then a SOLID, STRONG, HEAVY SUPERGIRL CENTERED 22 to 23 episode 7th (probably final) Season. But for for the love of Rao, please give it back its original time
slot. They give us that? The CW can show the Supergirl fans that they do, in fact, respect this very important show as a part of their Superhero genre.
The response has been overwhelmingly negative. As you know, we Supergirl fans are quite "passionate".
I rather like the actor playing William Dey (Staz Nair) but the character itself is underdeveloped. I am not a Kara/William shipper; but, I am not against them pursuing it. Provided... they are committed to treating it more than a mere afterthought. Afterall, she does like his baking skills. That is a start.
I have always thought that when the time comes for Supergirl to end, she would reunite with Mon-el (Valor) and join the Legion heroes in the future... and one day become President.
I figured that storyline would continue into season 6 so not surprised.I don't really have a opinion on it.I think William is fine and since I don't ship(not after the Buffyverse),I just go along where they want on ship fronts.There hasn't been a ship I hated on the series and I've enjoyed elements of the various ships as they happened.For example,I thought the karaoke duet this season was cute as well as William making food for Kara.

I hate this turn of events but I think I accepted it. I think the mutual decision was made and now its time to move on. Caroline Dries crafted a great show. The remaining cast is great. They will keep the show going with the support of the fans.
I do wish we could have hotten the World's Finest with Supergirl and Batwoman this season before Ruby Left... i would have gladly sacraficed The Bodyguard Supergirl episode for it.
