Just a little over three days to go, and with that we are bringing your the official synopsis for episode three season three! Is that enough three's for you? As Supergirl.tv was able to break earlier, Carlos Bernard will make his apperance on Supergirl as Maggie Sawyer's estranged father. Even more exciting and a little unexpected is the earlier than predicted return of Helen Slater's Eliza Danvers! The official synopsis is below:

CARLOS BERNARD (“24”) GUEST STARS; HELEN SLATER RETURNS — Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) throws Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) a wedding shower, which causes Maggie to reach out to her estranged father (guest star Carlos Bernard). Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) joins J’onn (David Harewood) on a personal mission. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Jessica Queller & Derek Simon

With the surprise addition of Helen Slater this episode is going to be a pretty epic one for Sanvers fans! Very good news. I'll make a point of tuning in. ;-)

You're weren't planning on tuning in before? LOL

Looks to be a very emotional episode. Solid writing and directing credits all around, and Helen Slater returning is always welcome!

Helen Slater returning more that we thought is fantastic! She has been under used. It was odd that in Dean Cain's last episode of season 2 she disappeared with no mention even though she was in the episOde before.

It is fantastic to see more of Helen. I have a feeling that she was meant to be in E15 'Exodus' but her scenes were possibly cut. In the attached (https://supergirl.tv/forum/helen-slater-interview) interview with Helen from Feb 2017 she mentioned she was in 2 more episodes but only ended up being in 1 (E14).

The other interview I posted in there from June 2017 had Helen mention she would like to be in the show more, seems like she's getting her wish, which is great news for us fans.

I'll echo other comments and say that "Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) joins J’onn (David Harewood) on a personal mission." should be the most interesting and exciting part of this episode.

For episode 3, IMDB also lists young Kara and young Alex appearing as well.

I'm far more excited about this personal mission with Jonn and Kara.

Kelly, we are in agreement.

Though I'm more interested in Supergirl and J'onn's personal mission, this is likely a Sanvers-centric episode.

HELEN SLATER RETURNS - Awesome :-) , that's twice in less than 3 weeks we've got this news and makes Helen fans like me very happy.

Jonn's father Myrnn is being played by Carl Lumbly who voiced Martian Manhunter in the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited Cartoon Network series from the early to mid 2000's. Another excellent DC Legacy casting choice.
