Its a bit of a mixed bag of news when it comes to today's newest press release. The CW has given us the final schedule for all of the remaining episodes of Supergirl for the rest of the season. In doing so, we can finally say definitively that season 3 will run for the often sought after 23 episodes! That's one more than last year! However, with Black Lightning joining the schedule mid-season, The CW wasn't entirely sure what to do with Legends of Tomorrow so it would seem Legends will be borrowing Supergirl's 8pm time slot for 9 weeks starting February 12th to finish out it's season. Starting back up again on April 16th, Supergirl will return to run its final ten episode uninterrupted! While some may read into this as a concerning sign, we don't take it that way at all. The season is usually set into thirds anyway and the consecutive uninterrupted nature of a new comic show on Monday nights at 8pm would seem to be a strong draw for the CW. The only hurdle we think we'll have to get through is surviving on 4 new episodes before going on break again!

Click bait sites prey on the fans of these shows, and when they see some fans all up in arms about something they go after THAT. Had the fans just chilled, and let this happen as planned, there would have been absolutely no problem. But, today's fans seem to think that they know best, that they have a right to get their way, and when they don't get their way (you have activists brought in who have no clue of what has happened #Supercorp stuff, fans crying over Floriana's exit, and the writers can't even wish people happy holidays without getting berated by fans, and we can't not include #Karamel fans because they do the same thing), you have click bait sites that feed the frenzy by talking about cancellation, you have fans crying that they aren't being heard....ETC. The fans ARE BEING HEARD, this season is proof of that. But, actors leave, and craziness ensues, change to scheduling and fans cry out that it will ruin the show. When, IN FACT, it is the fans that have done the most damage and harm to this series. I know some here do not agree with that, and that is fine, but IMO it is the truth.
As Kelly and you have said, the show will go on as long as Melissa and the show runners want it to....and nobody from the show or the network is indicating anything differently.
However, some of the confusion does stem from sloppy writing from click-bait sites this week, and from the deceptive fan petition at change.org that will accomplish nothing. The show production is already on holiday break, as per schedule.
Not that this would mean anything as Supergirl's last show of the season is June 18, 2018.
That's three days after WPIX channel 11's 70th birthday.
Thanks so much! That's just what I had in mind. Now we just need it to be someplace where it can be found easily for reference...

So I'm not ready to launch it yet but this is my first stab at trying to accomplish your request. Check it out and let me know what you think: https://supergirl.tv/schedule
I would bet that it will go as long as Melissa wants to put the suit on.
