Remember, we have it as rumor but VERY likely that we are going to see the return of young Kara and Alex this episode! Check out the official synopsis below:
SUPERGIRL BATTLES RED DAUGHTER — Kara (Melissa Benoist) comes face to face with Red Daughter and the two engage in an epic battle. Determined to find a way to extract the Harun-El, Lena (Katie McGrath) turns to an unlikely source for help – Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong). Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) realizes she’s missing parts of her memory, and Brainy (Jesse Rath), Nia (Nicole Maines) and J’onn (David Harewood) set out to track down aliens who have been abducted by Lex. Alexis Ostrander directed the episode with story by Lindsay Sturman and teleplay by Gabriel Llanas & Eric Carrasco (#421).

I can only hope this "epic battle" is better then her epic battle with Lex. A couple of good shots be her, one block by him and one punch by Lex that sent Supergirl down for the count. She may not have been KO'd, but she couldn't get up and out of the way after ONE punch by Lex, as he then slammed her with the Daily Planet.
Sounds like another week with little to no Supergirl. I truly hope the last 2 episodes are EPIC, as this season has been uneven, and overall flat. I am sick of the Children of Liberty and Ben Lockwood. Sick of waiting for Red Daughter, except for 1 episode, and sick of waiting for Supergirl to have any sustained action. In an epic fight, the loser is not taken out with one punch!
I love Melissa playing the dual role, love Jon Cryer (and really did not think he could pull it off), and thought Manchester Black was interesting. As has happened too often though, the writers are too worried about telling too many stories, and lose focus on Supergirl.
I think some are using this as a reason for not seeing Supergirl much in the last episode, and probably Ep. 20 as well, and even further than that, see far less action from Supergirl as a whole this season.....not just with the RD plot. I actually can see the reason for having far less Supergirl in eps 19 and 20, it is to allow Melissa to film Supergirl scenes/RD scenes for the finale, I totally get that....what people are saying is, you take that and add to it far less Supergirl as a whole this season and that is where their snag lies.........BUT, though I've seen this comparison for years, I don't think you can compare the 2, (OB and SG) it is a comparison of apples and oranges. Orphan Black 10 episode a season, including the crossover just this season that is 25 episodes for Melissa. Also, the pure physicality of the roles are different. The physicality of being in a metal jumpsuit for flying scenes that take in some cases all day, and learning fight sequences, carrying those out, along with being in every episode is far different. So though I see people's point, I don't think that is the problem that people are actually having, I think most people that have a criticism of far less Supergirl this year is a writing problem (lack of comic book experience in the writing staff), rather than a physical or legal problem for the series. In bringing on a writer with extensive comic book experience tells me they see that problem and are going to remedy that problem this next season. Also, please do not take any of this as taking away from Tatiana's work on "Orphan Black" she was nothing short of BRILLIANT.
No mention of Eliza but hopefully she'll be in the trailer or the photos so I know for sure Helen will be in the episode.
That really wasn't my point....but ok....It is not that the identity of the show has been lost. WHEN we have Supergirl on screen, the hope and compassion center is there. My point is, when Oliver is on screen, when it is him and his side kicks...THEY ARE SIDEKICKS. They are not his equal, he is the #1 superhero... IMO that has been a weakness of Supergirl. That was my point. I do not believe that will be a problem for this particular episode.....I hope.
Quoting Kelly:
Well, many years ago there was a show called the "Patty Duke Show" where she played her teen age cousin from England, I think, and a teenager from Brooklyn, I think. Could have been the Bronx.
Anyway, back then they showed off her amazing talent with each episode and the show was a big hit. The likes of a Patty Duke is rare but I believe Melissa is just as rare. She can sing, dance, act and has a great smile and is a sweetheart on and off the screen. Now, to answer your question, I don't know . lol
Thank Rao! Light at the end of the tunnel...?
Even with Oliver not seen as much, it is EVIDENT, that HE IS THE #1 on that show, and that just is not the case with Supergirl. BUT, I have to say, this episode and a few of the last 25% of the season episodes have taken care of that, even with the over saturation of Superheroes on the show....hopefully, Supergirl rises above the others is a grand way in Episodes 21 and 22.
