IMDB is showing the cast for the pilot is up to 18 actor/actresses. The most recent addition is Jaidon Jaron who will be playing "Female Student #2". Obviously Female Student #2 would indicate there is a student #1 and there is. We reported on that here. Mackenzie Brooke Smithis playing Female Student #1. What is new and interesting about this though, is that both actresses play age ranges between 12-15 years old. This lets us begin our speculation!
Their age ranges are perfect for Young Kara and Young Alex. We know those parts have already been cast so could these two be students along with Kara and Alex? Perhaps we can expect a scene at school. Maybe Kara's powers go out of wack much like Clark's did in Man of Steel.
Our second theory is that these students are in some sort of danger and Supergirl will save them. Perhaps they are a trigger for Kara to stop being just a by-stander. Maybe they remind her of herself and Alex when they were young and that drives her to start down the hero's path.
