IMDB is showing two new sub-characters for the Supergirl pilot. First we have Tara Macken playing the role of "The Mother". Our thinking is that "The Mother" is a victim of a possible plane or train crash that pulls Kara into her first heroic action (more on that in our Spoiler section). "The Mother's" reaction and gratefulness may help fuel our hero into becoming, Supergirl! Next we have "Female Student #1" played by Mackenzie Brooke Smith. Again, not much here, but we are thinking that this character will also fall into that category of someone who was saved from a major disaster.
Supergirl is really coming along. Only one big casting announcement remains for the pilot and that is the Lumberjack. These sub characters do give us a glimpse into what we can expect though.
