Peta Sergeant Cast as Nyxly

Well it turns out that today is a multiple news article kind of day! In addition to the plot synopsis for why we are going back to Midvale and what happens there, we are also learning today, via Deadline.com, that Peta Sergeant has been cast to play a fifth dimentional imp like Mzyxptlk but trapped in the Phatom Zone! Some of you have pointed out that Thomas Lennon, who played Mxyztplk in the 100th episode was also recently seen on set and with Peta. This could suggest that there are multiple episodes with the imps and that Nyxly will play a pivitol part in getting Kara back to Earth. The character is described as:

A quirky and kind 5th Dimensional Imp, wrongly imprisoned in the Phantom Zone and driven by tragic backstory. She helps Kara when she least expects it, and their budding friendship not only heals some of Nyxly’s emotional pain, but helps Nyxly reclaim her own power.

It's good to have some more context to the on location photos from last week.

I'm thinking Kara will be back at the end of episode 7 since this is the last episode before the long break unti the show returns later in the summer.A cliffhanger and then Superman & Lois returns for the rest of its first season(episodes 6-15)

I liked his character so it will be interesting how he helps Kara since Kara and Mzyxptlk developed a good friendship in the 100th episode of SuperGirl. Nyxly sounds like an interesting character - I just hope that something as serious as Kara being sent to the PZ doesn't turn into a comedy at the end and take away from the seriousness of Kara and what she endured while in the zone which would also invalidate the serious feelings that the heroes went through to rescue her.
