The Parasite, or at least a version of him, is coming back to Supergirl and this time taking Kara's powers seems to be a very real situation! As we learned in tonight's all new episode, Lena and Brainy were able to clean the air of Kryptonite and in doing so, Kara was able to free herself from the "whole body cast" suit. Now, the DEO will face off against a powered up Agent Jensen who now has the ability to take the powers of an alien he touches. Just like the Parasite before, this has the possibility to make him the most powerful villain on the show to-date! Check out the trailer for yourself below.

@KaraD here's the DCWikia on the Legion flight ring
dc.wikia.com/wiki/Legion_Flight_Ring The show followed the the ring's ability to allow the wearer to fly is space. The ring must be activated by conscience willpower so if Kara's not wearing it she's not activating it. They haven't actually shown her wearing it, she doesn't need it in her day to day life on Earth. In my head she's has it on a chain around her neck to mirror Mon-El wearing her neckless. The show added the moderate psychic protection. @kdogg87 Psi is a stronger psychic than J'onn so I assume she is stronger than M'yrnn's psychic seizures were.
I would think not. It gives flight and protects in the vacuum of space. It also appears to provide moderate psychic protection, as it protected Mon-El from M'yrn's psychic seizures.
But it didn't protect Imra from Psi's attack. So there may be some inconsistency.
I hope they don't use it like that. They really don't need to be turning the Legion Ring into their "get out of jail free" card. The time travel thing was bad enough.
I think the parasite completely drains her powers leaving her powerless at the moment. She can get her powers back with sunlight, and just time to recover. I am sure the parasite will probably drain her nearly completely, but won't be able to take advantage of the moment. Supergirl won't be able to reach this one though. I hope this villain is recurring,
I totally agree with you. I'm just curious as to why Alex says : "This is one monster she can't fight." It might be because of the other powers he already absorbed from other aliens. I guess team Supergirl will have to win the battle with their witts.
I definitely hope Parasite only copies her powers, surely the writers wouldn't be so mean as to take away Supergirl's powers from her straight after she's spent the better part of 2 episodes in a coma or in restricted movement. Way I figure is let Supergirl be Supergirl for a while.
I understand your point of view and your not the first one that stated having a problem with Kara saying she doesn't kill. The way I see it, is that Kara is genuily good and she has never ANY intentions to kill but during battle, when she finally sees that this is the only option or thousand of people will die, than she does. I will make a parallel with the fact that Kara has stated many times she doesn't lie. She's a very honest person but it's impossible to never lie. Keeping her secret from Lena (or choosing not to tell her) might be considered lying but I think she's afraid and wants to protect herself and in a way, she thinks she's protecting Lena (although, I dont believe she's doing any favors to Lena by not telling her). Also, I think everyone has the right not to reveal things about themselves and have their secret gardens. Finally, Kara always tries to talk to vilains and tries to find good in people. We'll see how she will resolve the situation with this new Parasite. I can't wait! I wonder if by taking her powers, Parasite will copy her powers or completly strip her of her powers.
Due to the circumstances in which Livewire "died", it is science fiction, I would not be surprised if she came back.
Regarding Parasite as a reoccurring vs one off villain, they still have other options should they choose to conclude Jensen's story as other versions of Parasite were Alex and Andrea Allston as well as Joshua Michael Allen.
Quoting SuperMatt:
Yet they killed off Livewire just as she was getting development, which to be honest was a big mistake in my opinion.
