Nick Sagar Joins Supergirl in Recurring Villain Role

Have you seen the image of the white dwarf star collecting the star matter of another orbiting star? If you have, then you know exactly the image I am thinking of. That seems to be the case for the more massive Arrowverse and the completed Shadow Hunters series. Arrow fans know that Katherine McNamara, who starred on Shadow Hunters, is now playing Oliver Queen's daughter. Today, TVLine.com has learned that Supergirl has cast Nick Sagar, also an alum of Shadow Hunters in the recurring role of Rip Roar:

A multi-armed, technologically enhanced villain who goes toe to toe with Kara

As you have no doubt seen from the trailer for Sunday's all new episode, expect to see Rip Roar this week! Happy Halloween everyone!

I had to rewatch the promo as he looks more like Marvel's Doc Octopus than the 4 armed new god from the DC comics.

But Supergirl does put its spin on things and this reimagining fits with the overarching technology theme this season.

Quoting starlord:

What the hell is happening with CW promotion for many of their show...

Seems the net is concentrating more on after Live promotions, which have picked up substantially...and it makes sense, given that streaming scripted television is where the real money is at for them. Older series like Supergirl have seen their audience shift into watching it later, or binge-watching several eps in one sitting, after the live distractions (such as reality competition shows, or sports) have gotten out of the way. So the net is merely keeping up with that trend.

Marvel Spider-Man Villain season? A spider villain (venom-esque) and now a mechanical arm villain (Doc Oct). Not complaining though. I like it.

I like what I am seeing this season. We are getting more villains for SuperGirl to fight and those that are able to match her toe for toe which gives exciting fighting scenes. I am just happy to see SuperGirl in action this season and demonstrating her powers. I think the writers are trying to do their best to give us the SuperGirl action scenes that we have requested more of.

Not being familiar with Shadow Hunters, I hope I find his Arrowverse character more compelling than McNamara's.

Could be interesting villain. And he looks pretty menacing in the promo for sundays ep

What the hell is happening with CW promotion for many of their show except their new Darling Batwoman. We havent even had promo pics for sundays ep yet. But their new Darling has them up for ep 5 and even some pics from ep 6 already too. My patience is running thin with that network.
