Mxy in the Middle Synopsis

For Supergirl’s 11th episode, Mxy is back and ready to shed some light on what Nyxly’s plans are - in a song no less - in order to help Supergirl and the team figure out how to stop her. For Lena, she’ll be in Ireland, trying to piece together her mother’s past, though it’ll take a bit more effort than she had imagined, as the townspeople aren’t exactly keen to help her out. Check out the synopsis below:

THOMAS LENNON RETURNS AS MR. MXYZPTLK – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team must stop Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) from vanquishing a familiar face from Supergirl’s past – Mr. Mxyzptlk (guest star Thomas Lennon). Mxy returns and explains Nyxly’s dark history to the super team in the best way he knows how – in song form. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) visits her mother’s birthplace in Ireland, eager to dig into her past but is shocked by the small town’s icy reception towards her. The episode was directed by Glen Winter with story by Rob Wright and teleplay by Elle Lipson & Chandler Smidt (#611). Original airdate 9/14/2021.

We”ll see about this I don’t see where the “people behind the show” changed anything. I don’t see anything from CW officially online, I believe they release information via press releases which aren’t available to the general public. Websites, some reliable like this one some not reliable, report these things based off press releases and sometimes just other websites. What can happen when one website uses the information from another website is an error can proliferate like a game of telephone. It could be that someone at comicbook.com rather than anyone with the show was sloppy when they typed the synopsis in on their site. The dumpster fire known as Reddit seems to be part of amplifying this too. When you say “people behind the show” please site that source. One of the lessons I’ve learned from being a fan of this show for almost six years is don’t believe everything you read online.

Well, folks in the NYC area, PIX 11 has bumped Supergirl and Stargirl off yet again. The Mets, trying to get back into the race for the post-season, hosts the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field Tuesday night starting at 7:00pm. Kind of wish my cable system did not get rid of channel 20 out of Waterbury, WCCT.

We”ll see about this I don’t see where the “people behind the show” changed anything. Me too... It would have been nice if the Music Meister could have returned and gave Kara a musical escape as she dealt with the trauma if the PZ. I think they could have used green screen to pull of some fantasy cameos and not break quarantine, like Barry and the late Aunt Astra. There are so many characters I'd love to see again.. You think of all these "what ifs" and "I wish" scenarios as the show is coming to a close... I think this will be a very entertaining episode.

Indeed, I was thinking of all those great voices working together... harmoniously in fact. ;-)

I would vote no on having some cast members sing along with Melissa. My God, didn't they already rob Supergirl from her super hero status with all these other copies. You don't tell your Mickey Mantle to lay down a bunt. You let him swing away.

Although, I never tire of your sports comparisons, Mantle was part of a team, as is Kara. The show evolved into an ensemble like other Arrowverse shows and I don't see that changing in the final episodes, so why not make the most of it.

BTW, if Lena really gets magic based powers because of her secret fairytale heritage like 10 episodes before the show ends, I'm officially calling that as the most dumbest and cringiest storyline the show has ever done. Like science based Lena having a mystical connection seems like it might have been an interesting concept in like .... season 4 or so. Not 5 minutes before the show is ending. I'll continue hoping that any "powers" Lena displays remain firmly science based.
