On the heels of last night's new episode of Supergirl, as game changing as it was, we are getting fourteen new images from the next episode, "Man of Steel". We've learned via the synopsis that this episode will circle the origin of Agent Liberty and why he became who he is today. Interestingly enough, the images show us a pretty awesome flashback to when J'onn was still the head of the DEO and Alex's hair was longer like in season 1. Could this incident be before Supergirl's debut or a cause from it? Kara looks like she has a scene with Ben Lockwood as well! Check out the images below:

I wonder what's happening with Cat Grant. Wasn't she president Marsden's assistant or secretary of state? I would like it if they would mention something in this regard or maybe James saying that Cat called to say she was very impressed by Supergirl's speech.

Alex with Season 1 hair - Squealing with delight when I saw it! Unfortunately, it's most likely a flashback and only temporary

Looking at the pics and the promo, I think I've recognized a couple of things and now have some questions:
1. Daxamite spaceship
2. Outfit on Kara from karaoke night

Could the mask of Agent Liberty belong to a family member that was killed during the Daxamite invasion forces in season 2?

Could Agent Liberty suspected Kara as Supergirl after a conversation with her at the Alien bar in season 3?
I think that your idea of the mask belonging to someone he knew is a pretty good theory. It's feasible that, during the Daxamite attack someone he knew was killed and that's what spurred him into taking on the Agent Liberty persona and becoming radicalized against aliens. I'm not sure that he knows that Kara is Supergirl though.

This looks like a really good plot heavy episode. Agent of Liberty is a truly frightening villain. His speach gave me shivers. So well written too.

I wish they would bring Eliza. This is not the first time that Kara is near death. Eliza was there to help find a cure for Mon-El but she's not there for Kara? That doesn't make sense. At least, they should mention that Alex talked to her on the phone. I guess it must be a contract issue or the actress availability but the fact that she wasn't there for Kara when she almost died after being beaten by Rein really bugged me. But, at least, we will see Alex taking care of her. Seeing Lena there, worried about Supergirl (or Kara is she finds out who she is) would also make it interesting.

I agree with you KaraD, I too wish they would bring in Eliza. If I had a daughter and she was dying I'd be pretty angry if I was not at least called and told about her condition. Even if they cannot bring Helen Slater in due to scheduling difficulties they could at least mention or show Alex giving her a call. Yes Alex is trying to save Kara's life but you would squeeze the time to somehow notify your mother. However, I am satisfied this time at least knowing that they will not rush through SuperGirl being critical and us seeing the emotional impact it has on her friends, colleagues and family and that they will spend some time showing Alex trying to save her sister.

I would love it if Eliza was in this episode and the next (#4), didn't she also cure J'onn in that same episode as Mon-El?. Eliza even said to Kara in Season 3 "think I worry about you more than Alex", would be nice for her to be there working with Alex.

Plus it's nearly been a full season since we've seen Helen on the show (S3 E6) so would be good to see her back again sometime, I would like a 3 or 4 episode arc for her and combine it with Alura coming back to earth for a double Mother/Daughter team up and they (Alura and Eliza) actually get to meet each other. I'd definitely prefer to see Alura and Eliza again over the new characters (Lex Luthor and Kelly Olsen) that we're getting.

I would hope that they would not have to build the story around when they can get a tertiary character like Eliza. If that were the case, I'm afraid we would miss out on some great storytelling....much like what we are getting this season.

Lena still not knowing about Kara is seriously stretching the suspension of disbelieve at this stage

Who says she doesn't know? Her face said, I've figured it out....

Misleading title that is likely flashback-heavy on Agent Liberty's origin.
