Finding Nyxly might be the break Supergirl and Zor-El needed! If Supergirl is anything with or without her powers, she is a ray of sunshine and in a place as dark as The Phantom Zone, Kara's light seems to be doing the trick to power up Nyxly and regain her magical abilities no matter where they reside! What we are curious about is, how does all of this force a time travel event where Nia and Brainy need to go back to Midvale. Of course the reason isn't too important, we are just excited to return to Midvale and see young Alex and young Kara. Looking ahead to next week, Kara and team might position themselves for a final exit of the Phantom Zone, check out the trailer below:

I 100% understand your sentiment.
I have the utmost respect for the actors and crews for their dedication and fine work but as the series has progressed, and particularly since the mid-point of Season 3, it has faltered considerably. Internal factors, and not necessarily fan / viewer disinterest in the character, have finally done it in.
Season 4 and 5 had some highlight episodes, but with all of the changes and social / political directions the show took in conjunction with other compounded shortcomings (writing and other technical matters already discussed at length in the forums), it became bogged down by its own weight and lost its original focus.
Season 6 so far hasn't been as poor as the prior one but by the time it concludes later this year, I believe most viewers and fans will breathe a collective sigh of relief. The cast and crews have given their all (and we thank them wholeheartedly for this), and the Girl of Steel has flown higher than imagined (Remember pre-2015?). It is simply the appropriate time for another iteration to come to fruition.
The cast and crews will move on to other projects and these past 6 Seasons will stand them all in good stead as they go forward. Rest assured of that.
We are going down the road of all the other CW shows. Bring in lots of characters so you don’t have to develop the few that are really important. Since season two the show has gone downhill. Too many characters! Have an episode have people interact but they don’t have to be also stars of the show it’s just too much!
I love Melissa and her representation of Supergirl and I love Chyler as her sister. Cat Grant’s absence has been a real notable loss for the show. Too much Lex Luthor! In the comics he was more of a nemesis to superman then to Supergirl.

Perhaaaaps... but as close as Kara is to J'onn and especially Alex... I'd think they would be aware... and that Brainy just knows stuff!
But, there is one mistep that I think the show is making-- the Alura factor. While Kara keeps mentioning Alura's knowledge of the PZ, as she helped design it, neither J'onn, nor Brainy, have reached out to Alura for help. At least not from the viewers perception. WHY? The others are aware of Alura and her background with the PZ and Ft. Roz. J'onn can reach them, as his car ship has traveled to Argos previously. Yet, John sought out his brother who led him to Silas for assistance, but have ignored the most obvious informed person. Surely, J'onn or Alex or Brainy would have thought to ask her. I have pondered before if anybody even thought to let Alura know her daughter was sent to the PZ.
This is an odd plot hole. At least, I think it is...
Not to worry. The Yankees always get rained out in Baltimore so I'm hoping we won't miss anything. Many years ago I remember the Yankees at Baltimore and the orioles were up by a run in the top of the seventh and it was raining the entire game. The great Earl Weaver wanted the game called so his team would win. He calls time out and comes out of the dugout toward the home plate umpire splashing water all over the ump's pants and then he pulls out an umbrella from behind his back and that's when they threw him out. Funniest thing I ever saw.
And in New York, SuperFlash on 4/27 gets bumped by Yankees baseball on WPIX 11 as the bombers, who it seems are having kryptonite in their bats play the Orioles in Baltimore. To quote Yankee Hall of Famer, shortstop and beloved broadcaster Phil Rizzuto...HOLY COW!
