We are off to the races! The first seven episodes of Supergirl are underway and today we are looking ahead to episode four of the sixth and final season. We are noticing a pattern with the titles, they all seem to fit into The Phantom Zone somehow. With the Easter Egg last night of Midvale High School, there are already references to the flashback episodes as well! While we believe this to be a red herring, the synopsis for "Lost Souls" hints that Supergirl finds a way out of The Phantom Zone. For us, the question is, will she take it and what are the circumstances if she does? Check out the full synopsis below:
SUPERGIRL FINDS A WAY HOME – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) finds an opportunity to escape from the Phantom Zone but it comes with some dangerous strings attached. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) joins the Super Friends on a mission but finds she disagrees with their plan of action against the Phantoms and wonders if she is truly ready to be a part of the team. Alysse Leite-Rogers directed the episode written by Karen E. Maser & Nicki Holcomb (#604). Original airdate 4/20/2021.

"Coming next issue
SuperGirl
In TV Guide Magazine's April 26 issue, we're
checking in with the CW's original big-
hearted Kryptonian hero, Kara Danvers, aka
SuperGirl (Melissa Benoist) to learn more
about what's in store for the action-
packed series' sixth and final season."
Possible dangers:
Her father gets left behind. How do we know if the longer you stay in the PZ, the less you will be able to escape from it physically or it could be the inability to escape from it mentally (the longer you are in it you stand the chance of losing your sanity if you try to leave) . Therefore taking her father with her could be dangerous to his welfare.
Bringing a number of Phantoms over with her - Could be that if an escape is sense by the Phantoms others join to stop the person; however that would mean there is the chance of more than one phantom coming through the portal. Even if the coming of several phantoms is not the case, we definitely know that it takes at least one for SuperGirl to come through and that one could be a danger.
Could be that one escaping through the portal closes it off to prevent others from escaping - I doubt that since we know that others have escaped from the portal and it didn't seem to prevent entry or departure from the PZ.
Could be that departure has to be timed quick enough or it closes off before the second person can leave - in that kind of scenario I can actually picture Kara's father pushing her through the portal and him staying behind.
Alex told Kara she would ALWAYS come for her - I can only hope that statement stays true.
It makes sense that Lena would struggle with her place with the team—she’s not used to being part of a team. She’s been the boss and she’s been the face of her company, but when she had been brought in to the DEO it was definitely a “last resort” scenario each time. There’s been a barrier there in that when she looks back she must be reminded that only one of those times was when she knew Kara’s identity. It sort of parallels her life with the Luthors-that they never saw her as a complete part of the family. Under “normal” circumstances Kara would be there as a intermediary, but this isn’t the “normal” situation so hopefully we get some more BrainCorp talk about “fitting in” cause Brainy without his inhibitors had to adapt as well.
I suspect Lena will be the voice of reason. Both J'onn and Alex were guided by emotions and likely aren't making the most rational decisions. I think this may be how Lena ultimately proves her value to the team. Will Silas also become a Superfriend?
