Krys Marshall Takes Mysterious Role

TVline.com has learned this morning that, "This Is Us" actor, Krys Marshall, has been cast for a recurring role in the second half of season 3. As it stands now, very little is known about the role but some details shed light on who this character might be. The character is named "Julia Freeman, a 20-something musician living near National City who holds clues to Reign’s true identity". Your guess is as good as ours when it comes to this new role but our thinking is that she might be a Fort Rozz escapee who either shared a cell with the disgraced Kryptonian Priestess or she is the Priestess. That, or she has a connection to Samantha's past and she remembers strange occurrences where Sam did extraordinary things that Sam doesn't remember.

When I think of a priestess, especially one who is supposed to be so well-versed in the teachings of Krypton's ancient mythology, I imagine someone with a great number of years of life behind them.

How long do Kryptonians live? 400 years? 500? Longer?
She is probably several decades older than she looks by human standards.
When I compare Kara's aging in flashbacks and now to actual passage of time, it has been fairly close to her appearance. Sam also seems to be about where she should be in age/appearance, too. But, the show has not always been consistent on details such as these, so it is quite possible that they will have the priestess look younger than she actually is.

Unknown, the comics have Superman living for long times in alternate futures.

In DC One Million, Supes is still alive after 15,000 years. that was an else worlds tale but still.

Batman Beyond has Supes with grey in his hair but still seeming mostly middle aged about 50 years in the future. So its possible that this woman didnt age visibly after 20 or so years on earth.

Anyway a musician is a pretty off the radar disguise for a kryptonian. I think the reason Astra/rest of the army failed is they decided to go straight for world conquering instead of trying to see if they could fit in on earth with everyone.

I'm not sure that a person in their 20s would fit that bill. Plus, this character would have to have been a child when she left Krypton in order for her to be in her 20s now. So, unless she has some type of aging powers, I don't think that she is the priestess. But, obviously, I could be wrong.
I did just remember though, that she was on Fort Rozz, so she would have been stuck in the same time freeze that Kara was stuck in, so that part might not apply here.

Another "This Is Us" star....hmmmm, someone hanging with the "This Is Us" cast a lot?

Well maybe not that, but perhaps someone is a fan of the show. Let's see what Krys can do with her part. Not to nitpick, but one wonders for authenticity if Krys plays a musical instrument?

People are saying ally, she could be a world killer....which I want more of, because I want Kara to defeat Reign by defeating her world killers and sending them all on their way so that we can get Reign back in later seasons.
