Many may have already felt this coming but included with the news that Jesse Rath's Brainy is going to be a series regular, Jeremy Jordan's Winn is going to step down as a regular and instead shift to a recurring role. Fans will note this was true for the show's Floriana Lima going into season 3. How Jeremy will be used and if he will be on the show sporadically or all at once then gone is still unknown. TVline.com broke the news and quoted showrunners, Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner saying:
We love Jeremy, and even though he’s [not going to be around full-time], we’re not saying goodbye to Winn at all. We’re already breaking big stories for him right now for the fall, and I think the fans will be excited to see what he has coming up.

Yeah think so too. But do you know if these rumours are true in any way ?
People have said the same about Cat Grant, Maggie, heck even Lucy Lane. As long as Melissa is Supergirl, we've got a show!
Thats true. But people are so pissed if these spoilers come true they will stop watching. A lot of people watch because of Chris Wood He is a huge CW Star and gathered many fans over the years.
Not the series finale, Supergirl has a fourth season green lit already.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is happening on social media. For me, would it be anguish and so on to say that this will be a bitter pill to swallow...but one that must be done so to speak?
I will miss Jeremy, but he’s been doing Tangled, and Broadway, and he has a wife who doesn’t live in Vancouver, so it’s not exactly surprising that he’d want a change when he’s never been a “main character”. David is also not a native and has family back in England, so his departure won’t be a shock. Chris supposedly has some other irons in the fire, so again, it won’t be a big surprise. People saying this is totally unusual? What’s unusual is for a show to switch networks and shooting locations. The fact they held onto as much cast as they have is the real surprise.
Come to think of it, that may be one of the reasons that the location of most of the action in the show seemed to be moved from CatCo to the DEO building in Season 2....
