General Zod is Cast for Finale

Well this is big news! We've been hearing rumors all over that General Zod would be in the finale of Supergirl season 2 but today we can confirm that through our own sources. This is 100% real! What could General Zod be doing in the finale of Supergirl that already has Rhea: Queen of Daxam, A Daxamite Army invasion, and the incredible powers of Lillian Luthor, Cyborg Superman and Cadmus? We have no idea! At this point our only thought is that this is gearing up for a big season 3 story arc! Actor Mark Gibbon has taken the title role.

It might be interesting except that Zod is only the latest in the long line of supervillains. I still think it'd be better to mix things up a little and have Supergirl battle some dangerous but mortal Earth born villains. One alien villain after another takes away the novelty and turns Supergirl into a one-dimensional alien fighter. There should be more to her than that.

Therefore this news that there will be yet another alien bad guy left me underwhelmed.

I actually don't think Zod will be on the show in "full" just yet. I think we will see him as a tease like Thanos in Thor 2 then he will Come in the season close to the shows end. Zod is sort off an endgame villain

Earth 1 is the Flash/ Arrow / Legends world. Earth 2 is more like the original comics Earth 3 in that all the metas appear to be evil. Earth 3 is more like the comics Earth 2 as that's the original home of Jay Garrick.

That would weaken the heroes on Earth 1 and 2. No need to merge since they have a way of traveling between earths.

BTW loving this addition as long as it stays Karas story. I agree John Kara needs to ne the lead, and in my opinion solo defeater of Zod....Im pretty tired of all of these team ups.

Kelly I am so in agreement with you and John on this one.

I agree the team ups are starting to get out of hand. Having one every once in a while is fine but Kara needs to be the lead. The show is called Supergirl.
