Just a thought ... how cool and inspiring would it be to see Melissa in costume as Supergirl, Grant as Flash and Stephen A. as GA ihelping out the flood victims in costume? It would be so awesome to see the "real" Supergirl, Flash and Green Arrow helping out - especially for the children (of any age really) being saved by one or all of them. Even if they just made an appearance at a shelter. Maybe it is a "corny" idea but if it it were me, that would lift my spirits.

I get where you are coming from, but that would be wildly impractical. Those suits aren't very functional in real life. Not to mention they are expensive, and owned by the studio. The actors can't just take them out to use. They also wouldn't want to risk damaging them.

It'd be amazing enough if they just went down to help in general. But I don't even know if the CW stars who are native Texans, such as Jared Padalecki, have time to go down and help, due to rigid shooting schedules and already limited time with their families.

Plus, with the notoriously difficult-to-manage crossover shoots coming in as little as a few weeks, all 4 DC shows need to stay on schedule.

I have a feeling it would have the same effect as that scene in Captain America when he was fundraising on the front-lines. (i.e maybe not the best idea)

Now their skeds would not allow it...nothing can be done about that. But, how about putting their money where their mouths are? I mean Houston Texans star Linebacker JJ Watt has raised over $14,000,000 for efforts, Sandra Bullock has given money as well as she lives in TX.

So come on Mehcad Brooks, who is from TX or Melissa Benoist, who was born in Harris County (Houston), but calls herself a Coloradan, it's time to open up the checkbooks.

And if I may toot my own state's horn...CT has an outstanding group called Americares.

How outstanding? Charity Navigator, which rates many charities gives them four stars and a 97 out of 100 score..

Americares has helped out in major disasters and other things all over the world. And I am going to donate to them...won't say how much but I will do it. Americares is located in Stamford, CT, near me. The safest way to donate is through a check. Now if you do write one, put in the Memo section "Hurricane Harvey."

Also The Salvation Army would work as well.
