I know we in the fandom knows that we wished that Supergirl had a Season 7 and that everything is pretty much all wrapped up when it comes to the show. Which leads me to this: if you guys saw the news regarding Superman's son(IN THE COMICS) on twitter- not gonna spoil obviously- IF there was a hypothetical season 7 would the writers have broken the 4th wall and have Alex/Kelly or even Dreamer comment on this piece of news? As a quick aside if they knew about this earlier in the year i think the perfect episodic placement for such commentary would be "I believe in a thing called love" Anyways comment away and lets get this discussion going

No.

There is no reason to. As of right now, Jonathan is a real character in that universe and has shown no inkling of that characteristic.

It's up to the showrunners and actor if they want to go that direction, and it's not a decision to be taken lightly. They shouldn't do it for the sake of doing it. There should be a solid narrative reason to take the story in that direction.

S&L has already been a vast departure from the comics, by giving Jon a brother, and giving that brother powers while keeping Jon human.

For this reason, there is zero reason for Supergirl to bring that up. First, because S&L refuses to even acknowledge Supergirl, and secondly, to our knowledge, Kara, due to having only pre crisis memories, never even met Jon or Jordan.

As far as the SG series goes, since it has wrapped, it's a moot point. They cannot comment on it on the show since it is now in the can. The cast, crews and production have moved on. Hypotheticals aside, there is no 7th season.

As for particular characters such as Dreamer, Sentinel and Guardian, if they wish to comment about it or make light of it either on screen (if they're used on another series or elsewhere) or in social media (the actors' accounts), it's their choice. It would be completely apart and separate from the now-completed Supergirl series.

As for actors' comments relating to DC's choice of character portrayals in print or digital form, they may or may not wish to respond to it at DC Fandome. Only time will tell.

I don't see how that would make any sense. the show has already wrapped, Supergirl and Lois and Clark don't acknowledge each other a lot. And even if they had a closer relationship the character with the same name on Lois and Clark isn't at the same point in the journey where the comic book character is. I don't think it makes sense for the Supergirl characters to comment on the comic book version of the characters as opposed to the Lois and Clark version. So Lois and Clark would have to do that storyline first (which I wouldn't mind happening).

Yea and for the record even those who celebrated this news will acknowledge that DC is doing it just for the sake of doing it. However that doesn't mean that I as a writer cant an outside character point out this news for the sake of making a point. In fact- whenever I get around to writing-in my version of I believe in a thing called love I will write that others characters(WHO DIDNT INTERACT WITH ALEX SINCE SEASON 2) were somewhat skeptical of her announcement. I am going to write that this character will point out that they were in turn skeptical that one of their own fell in love with an android that was supposed to be destroyed and then point out that in the COMIC VERSION OF THEIR MULTIVERSE this bit of breaking news happened
