It looks like we’re going to have a much shorter Winter Break this year. Episode 9 on 12/4/2017 and episode 10 on 1/15/2018.

Update with conformation that Episode 9 will air 12/4 and be the last before Winter Break

Like last year, I'll try to fill in some of the "winter break time" with new installments of my fan fiction stories!

Nice to only have a 6 week break in episodes i/o 8 as per last year. Could also be an indication we'll get 23 episodes this season. The Week earlier start may also mean a 3 or 4 week break for the Winter Olympics.

The Olympics are Friday February 9-Sunday February 25 so I don’t see a 4 week break, three maybe. I looked it up and during the 2014 Olympics, which also ran from a Friday to a Sunday, CW ran it’s regular schedule mon-thurs before the games started. Arrow which was on Wednesday had a two week break during the 2014 Olympics. I think a two or three week Olympic break will depend on how happy the network was with thier choice last time.

What makes me hopeful for 23 episodes this season is episode 9 airing before winter break. Supergirl, Flash, and Arrow are all still on the same schedule and Arrow and Flash have always had 23.

I don't see them being out the entire February Sweeps which in 2018 are Feb. 1 -- 28th....the entire month of February. If they break even a portion of this time, that is even more evidence that they care little about the ratings.

Right that’s why I thinking two weeks, while the games are actually on, like 2014. I see absolutely no reason not to air a Monday show when the Olympics don’t start until Friday.

It is possible. Valor has been cancelled already, so they're just going to air the remaining final episodes. LoT could be put on Wednesdays after Riverdale.

I'm speculating the reason for LoT's delayed return is because the show has lesser episodes and they'd want all the DCTV shows to have their finales end at the same week.

What I'm interested in is where are they going to put LoT when it comes back...because it won't be after Flash anymore...

Possibly Supergirl, because I don't see Valor making it that long....

Yeah, I bet that LoT ends up in the 9 o'clock slot on Mondays when it returns. I do not see them putting it on Fridays....mainly because those slots are already filled, and "Jane The Virgin" is doing the same numbers on Friday as she did on Monday....that's actually not too shabby.

The shows on the CW before and after Supergirl have been a bit strange. They each had an audience, but they seemed to be very different from Supergirl.

Also because they need to debut Black Lightning as the networks 5th superhero show. Im still waiting on any word for that to be in the arrow verse, but I'm guessing it will happen eventually)

Have read Black Lightning will debut after The Flash the Tuesday it comes back from winter break. If anything B-L will have a strong lead-in as Flash is the CW's flagship show. As for Valor, I never got into this show about a woman in the military trying to save one of her fellow soldiers from terrorists. Perhaps that's why Supergirl's ratings fell despite it being the lead-in.

I swear the CW has more turnovers than in a basketball game.
