I knew they would make a joke about that as soon as I knew the were going to make all of the heroes work together.
I'll be honest and say for Citizen Steel, meeting up with our Kara, it was unavoidable...and kind of cute and funny. I know Nate is a bit of a ladies man on Legends, but Supergirl...well that would be, aside from Wonder Woman, the one heroine almost any male hero would love to have in their arms.
That said, Nate aka Citizen Steel you may be A man of steel, but dude you are not The Man of Steel. And if your path ever crosses with Superman...look out.
