I'm assuming they will be predominantly songs written for this episode. Using popular music is very costly.

Let them be at least beautiful songs. What's more, I expect a very romantic duet between Kara and Barry! :D

If anything, the music section of the main homepage will be busy like a bee!

I'm clueless when it comes to pop songs. Honestly though, if they can write an original song to the tune of the SUPERGIRL AND FLASH THEME, I'll cry. Actually cry.

Not really sure you could put words to their themes....especially Flash's theme, that would be a little weird. But definitely better be a duet with the two of them.

Yeah was a bit of wishful thinking but if by any means it worked it'll be magical. Grant Gustin has done some lightning fast singing on Glee with that Smooth Criminal song. If they put the Flash theme to words he could do it (although I do realise now it'd be a tad bit weird). There's this slow motif in the Flash that happens whenever something emotional or epic goes on, and it doesn't appear as much as the others (although it's included in the monologue intro now), goes like FGABAGAE. They put that in and I'm set.

Kelly, Flash's theme is fast and soaring and would challenge the best of singers with lyrics. Supergirl's, roughly inspired by John WIlliams' Superman March almost sings out "Supergirl" in its inspiring tones, the same way WIlliams did with his song, and even Sammy Timberg for the 1940's cartoon shorts.

But I will go next level here. I'm wondering if Blake Neely could rearrange Supergirl's theme and give it a sort of dance beat. Believe it or not during the disco era in the late 1970's there WAS a Superman disco song based on John Williams' theme. And it's not that bad. It's performed by The Royal Band. You will have to go to YouTube for it. Of course, 40 years ago, a guy named Meco took another John Williams song, Star Wars and turned it into a #1 pop hit.

You're referring to these two versions of the Superman Theme?.

We know at this point there will be at least 1 original song for the crossover...other than that, the Supergirl cast and crew are being pretty tight lipped. We may find out more since they begin filming that episode in the next few days.

As they should be. But somehow I think on here or any other fansites or other areas like EW, this might turn into the biggest musical guessing game since "The $100,000 Name That Tune!" HOLY TOM KENNEDY AND JIM LANGE!
