This week's Flash (spoilers)

Red herring. I'm surprised he didn't just straight up ask Gideon how to beat DeVoe and what his evil plan is, seeing as how she knows the future. Or, did she lose that ability at some point and I forgot? Honestly though, Team Flash makes so many stupid decisions it's amazing they're all still alive.

Welcome to the darkside Fedguy. Killing should never be a hero's plan A but IMO it shouldn't be off the table. That's what Kara had in the S2 finally, her A plan was to beat Rhea one on one and only when that failed did she go with plan B which resulted in killing Rhea. I would've liked if when Ralph had gone to Barry with his plan Barry would've said we kill as a last possible resort instead of we never kill.

You know what, ,you guys are right, Barry should waste him. I've always kinda been sentimental about the DC shows. Then I remembered every time I watch X-Men, I always thought Magneto was more right because Charles just takes the oppression and does nothing. Sometime you gotta kill the bad guys

I always saw Kara as the least murder-happy and most wholesome out of the 3. Maybe it was just my hopes

Compared to say Oliver, who has probably killed over 50-100 people at this point. But the biggest kill count on the arrowverse still belongs to Felicity. (Havenrock)

But yeah, I can see Kara being in a position like that, if she saw Devoe taking over the bodies of people close to her, she would definitely kill Devoe. (Ie if Devoe were to take over Alex or Lena)

I still take issue with Kara allowing Lena to confront Edge at that outdoor party--putting innocent people at risk... and then the drone just starts shooting people.

I'm not 100% sure what Kara would have done. In season one she's against killing Astra when Alex says she needs to be prepared to do so as Astra had showed no qualms about killing her niece. Later Kara understood that Alex had no choice but to kill Astra. In S2 Kara killed Parasite after giving him a chance. Lets not forget that in the S2 finale Kara killed Rhea and most likely other Daxamite solders who didn't get away, not to mention if she hadn't sent him away she would've killed Mon-El too. In Crisis on Earth-X I expected Oliver to kill his doppelganger but I wasn't sure what Kara and Barry would do. As it turned out Kara didn't have to make a choice but I thought Barry just letting Reverse Flash go was ridiculous.

I think killing the Worldkillers is going to be what Supergirl and Saturn Girl argue about in S3E16. Supergirl will want to try to save them while Saturn Girl having seen the destruction caused in the future will want to end them and save future lives. Kara may start to change her mind once she sees what Pestilence can do especially after Alex and Winn get hurt.

Bottom line it doesn't seem that Kara has a hard line no killing stance like Barry.

I think sometimes the writers forgets the disintergration/destruction of minor villains, especially ones not in human form, like the sand guy, means that they've been murdered.

In Season 1, Kara went to great lengths to convince J'onn to spare the white martian. In Season 3, Kara casually obliterates numerous white martians with the staff thing.

Eh...she's never been in that situation...at least not yet. If Alex were in the position Ralph was in, I think Kara might make the call. It's not a definite, but she's killed as a last resort.

I'm not saying it would be an easy, straight forward, or consequence-free decision for her. But it hasn't been off the table in the past.

The reason Barry's words bother me is because he's saying it's not even okay as a last resort. Now, Ralph's death may change his mind. But even so, him taking this hard stance on it is off-putting. He killed Blackout, albeit accidentally, and didn't bat an eye. He killed Atom Smasher, but at least seemed to show a little remorse. And Sand Demon? Everybody just went about their business like normal after Barry struck him down with lightning.

I feel Barry's argument would have a lot more validity, had he not killed at least 3 people.

Kara had the "killing is never okay" mindset when she thought J'onn killed Astra. But after the truth was revealed to her, she never really brought up that argument, again. The world became a little less black and white, and she made similar decisions with Parasite and Rhea.

In the fictional superhero medium, I'm definitely of the mindset that killing is acceptable as a last resort if it is the ONLY option that stands between the enemy taking innocent lives.

Had stretchy guy been reassured killing as a last resort was still noble, stretchy dude would not be deader than a door nail. Way to go...BARRY

While it isn't a great idea for it to be Eobard, part of me really wishes it was, since I just want to see two major villains face off lol

I think it's a red herring. Harry seemed like Harry, even when nobody was watching, this week.

On that note, though, it really bothers me when Barry preaches about killing never being the answer, not even as a last resort, when he's killed before.

Kara prefers not to kill, but at least she admits it's a last resort. It's the only way she could stop Parasite, and the only way she was able to stop the Daxamite invasion. She obviously prefers not to kill, but she's learned, since season 1, that sometime, for the protection of others, there is no choice.

I took it as the helmet was driving him more to the verge of obsessive "evilness" like The Thinker has become from having all that unchecked knowledge, and that he was going to have the computer help him "fix" the helmet to be able to see ALL possible courses of action like the Thinker can. And being he looks like RF, the computer simply recognized him as such?
