Just saw that Riverdale got a 1.5/1.6 in it's first ep of S2. So annoyed that it got a higher rating than SG. I know it probably has less competition on Wednesday but still. Maybe CW should have put SG on Wednesday so it may have got more of a chance. Did the CW not advertise the series at all.

My only response to this thread echoes Kelly: Please stop! All of you are correct; this is beyond pointless and we should avoid responding to or even opening these threads. Let the creators of them wallow alone in their misery.

I have a great idea let's not focus on ratings or put down other shows. If a thread about ratings is started let's just not respond anymore.

*******

I agree 100%. It serves no purpose to fret over things we cannot control. If the show was in trouble, we'd all know about it. It isn't. Worrying won't help matters any. We've been down this rabbit hole before and it got us nowhere fast.

On-demand, live-streaming and other media platforms will make up the perceived/imaginary shortfall. And, unlike the big Networks, Live ratings don't hold much sway with the CW since the show is available 24/7/365 in one guise or another.

Guys, it's WAY too early to start worrying about Supergirl. 1) it's only episode 1. 2) Due to the 3rd season rule, Supergirl is virtually a lock for a season 4 renewal. 3) More and more people are watching a DVR recording or streaming tv shows the day after, or in the following week. 4) CW's rough ratings threshold for cancellation consideration is .2 or lower in the 18-49 demographic.

And come on, guys. We don't need to rip on Riverdale or Flash just because Supergirl didn't have amazing ratings. Even if it weren't for the 3rd season rule, both Freshman series, Valor and Dynasty, would be on the chopping block FAR before Supergirl.

And again, it's my thorough belief that same-day ratings are less and less an accurate depiction of how many people are watching.

EDIT: It's also important to note that, while it's 18-49 demo was lower, Supergirl had higher numbers in sheer viewership than both Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.
