Interesting.

Hopefully we'll get some renewal news on the Fall shows, pretty soon. But this does help fix my concern that CW has too many shows in comparison to it's number of time slots.

Read on Twitter yesterday that the Flash and Green Arrow have been renewed, and just waiting to hear on Supergirl next....which is a no brainer. :p

I saw that, too, but there was no source. It's a premature and inaccurate report.

Flash is a no brainer, and Arrow will very likely be renewed. But nothing official has been stated, yet.

It's one of my personal pet peeves. One inaccurate source says something (in this case, that 2 of the shows are renewed). Then multiple people, accounts, and sources quote that one faulty source as true.

I honestly never believe it until I can verify multiple, reliable sources saying the same thing.

Agreed @kdogg87 Twitter is not a reliable source. I’m sure our admin is all over the renewal situation and will post in the news feed when it’s confirmed. I was hoping for renewal news before the break but I’m guessing this is what the network was working on.

This is a smart move by CW. The network was in the happy position of having too many shows and too little time. I guess we’ll have to wait till May to see what they put on Sunday. I doubt it will be any of the Superhero shows because of football. I could see Dynasty.

Dynasty, Riverdale, Jane the Virgin, and/or Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are my thoughts.

Six nights now for CW? This changes things a bit, though Sunday isn't that good a night, except for 60 Minutes on CBS. So on PIX11 in NYC we still get reruns of syndicated shows like The Goldbergs and Two and a Half Men. Good thing it's not Saturday. Because since about October, PIX has been airing on Saturdays classic reruns of shows that have aired or continue to air in some form on 11.

And these are classics...Good Times, Sanford and Son, Barney Miller, All in The Family (yes to any of my fellow New York area residents, there was a time that show was on 11, though I associate it more with Channel 5 (WNEW/WNYW), and the longstanding PIX favorite...The Honeymooners, which has aired on 11 since...get this...1958, when the show was first available in syndication.

The "11 Alive Saturday" as I call it (named for PIX's classic 70's and 80's ad campaign) goes from 1:00 PM to 5:00(PIX11 News.) resumes at 6:00 PM and goes to 10:00 (PIX11 News) and resumes at 11:00PM til midnight.

I guess things at CW are still stable enough to add Sunday. But eventually they will add Saturday.

EDIT: Forgot to add the wild card of baseball games on PIX 11. Checking the Yankees schedule...on May 21st, when episode 19 is set to air, Supergirl will be pre-empted by the Yankees and Texas Rangers from Arlington, set to start at 8:05 PM EST, the ONLY Yankees game on a Monday on PIX...so get set for a Saturday airing that week. PIX11 is also the home of the Mets. And so far, nothing as far as an interruption for the team from Queens.

Sunday’s aren’t going to be an easy night. Fox still has a little show you might have heard of called the The Simpsons which will be in its 30th season this fall.

They could put Riverdale and Dynasty on Sunday. Both skew female, and most of the other networks, including Sunday night football skews male so it wouldn't be that big of a pull on the audience.

I really am not a fan of that show which has been around as long as the Fox network has...it was a segment on The Tracey Ullman show. I at first liked it, but then became disinterested.

Now as for the shows like Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Jane The Virgin and so on that lean female..,it would offer good counter-programming to NBC's Sunday Night Football, which has had a ratings downfall thanks in part to the backlash against the NFL for National Anthem kneelers and hate towards US veterans.

NBC aired the Super Bowl by the way and ratings were lower than the last time NBC aired the game, both featuring my New England Patriots. Of course in Philly and Boston, the two biggest markets with NBC-owned stations (WCAU 10 and the new WBTS NBC 10, which took over from WHDH 7), that's another story with Philly's numbers up maybe a tick because the Eagles won (bitter pill for me).
