Here's my latest Supergirl fan fiction story. As usual, it combines the DC Comics universe with real-world elements. This time, Kara goes to Salt Lake City to cover the (real-life) NWSL soccer tournament - where the (fictitious) National City Sharks are playing - for the Tribune. While there, she stops an attempted crime spree, and meets up with the (real-life) folk-rock band Reina del Cid. The band gives Kara a chance to show off her Dick Dale-styled surf-guitar runs as their guest star for the evening!

Reina del Cid is a current folk - rock band that does many of the big hits of the 50s - 70s. They are graduates of the University of Minnesota and started out in Minneapolis. Now they're based in Los Angeles.

Here they are playing "Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay" on the banks of the Mississippi in Minneapolis:

Hey Stewart, thanks for giving a little publicity to my beloved Minnesota Gophers! B.A in political science/history, 1972. I'm not familiar with Reina del Cid, but will have to check them out.
