I put this under off topic, but thinking maybe under General Discussion? Anyhow, during parts of the run of Supergirl, the team called themselves The Super Friends. Even Alex in one fun season 3 or 4 episode said she got a Trouble Alert. And in one of the crossovers, we are introduced to the Hall of Justice.

Well gang perhaps the inspiration for the name, SuperFriends is coming to DVD. And it's every iteration of the show from the Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog era, to The Challenge of The SuperFriends (its peak) to the Super Powers era as a way to promote the Kenner toys. Yes, even the Wonder Twins.

Supergirl was not on any Superfriends show but was a part of an accompanying DC Comics series from 1978 to 1981. And on this cover from her appearance in 1980 below...she is P-O'd

I can't say I blame her!

According to Amazon Archives, the title of this book is "Bad Weather for Supergirl." A page of which below sees Kara save her super sister in arms, Wonder Woman. Only the person saved gets the glory, while the savior gets shafted!

In the story, Linda (not Kara) Danvers, brings some students with her to Gotham City for a Nostalgia Convention. But the Weather Wizard (featured on The Flash) has his eye on some of the collections on display. To say things get stormy is an understatement.

Had our beloved Kara been animated, I would've given Janet Waldo the voice job. Though she was the voice of the teen Judy Jetson on The Jetsons as well as Jayna of the Donny and Marie inspired Wonder Twins (!!!) and other Hanna-Barbera projects, she would be able to tone down the energy to play a confident young Last Daughter of Krypton and her alter ego Linda Danvers.

I think girls back in the day would've loved a second option to Wonder Woman who of course had the live action TV show with the aforementioned Lynda Carter in addition to the animated runs. And also, I think it would've shocked Superman fans who might not have read the comics to know someone else survived Krypton's explosion as I think a segment on Supergirl's life would've made the show.

The Superfriends collection flies out of the Hall of (the) Justice (League) 9/10/24.
