I just posted my latest Supergirl fan fiction story (#43) on my Facebook page: "The New York City Police Convention". This one came about as a result of a suggestion from a reader that I have the Supergirl Team travel to a big city (and tourist destination) for a different kind of story. So I added real-world locations in New York into the mix this time around! Hope you guys like it!

Actually, I've been thinking about your suggestions for a future story. I don't think I should use the real names of my school or my principal, or our "celebrity student" Alison Garcia. (There could very well be legal issues involved, especially with the local school board.) But there's no reason I couldn't put them into the story in a "thinly-disguised" manner. I'll just use fictional (but similar) names - like what "Law & Order" does with its "stories ripped from the headlines".
Certainly, I could have Lena's niece attending a public school in Palm Beach Co., and refer to real-world locations in the story. Kara could decide to come to the school to do "community involvement" , and subsequently get involved in some crime-fighting action that turns out to be another "job for Supergirl". Yes, I think we may have something there! :D

Thanks for your kind words, guys! I really appreciate it :)

"Palm Beach County is where Stewart says he lives and is a teacher there. So I'm trying to see if Stewart will write a story about Supergirl visiting there as another real-life location."

Yes, I am a science (can't you tell?) teacher at Forest Hill HS in West Palm Beach. I'm afraid it might seem a little self-indulgent to have Supergirl come to Forest Hill, though! But if Kara did, she could meet out own real-life Latina celebrity, 9th grader Alison Garcia (who is a well-known TV actress in her native country of Colombia). I've heard that Alison came to the US to improve her English, so she could try out for parts on American TV. (How about Lena Luthor's niece?) In fact, I was assigned to proctor the AICE Spanish language exam today, and Alison was the very first student on the list, in the first seat in the first row!

Stewart, you've done it yet again. A story more well written than some of the episodes of the TV show. I would've also have had Supergirl visit The Freedom Tower/One World Trade Center and pause a moment to reflect on the biggest terror attack on American shores. Maybe even shed a tear

As for a song, i would've played it safe with Supergirl singing "New York New York" made famous by Liza Minelli and one Francis Albert "The Voice" Sinatra. And also perhaps a look at one of the baseball stadiums, namely Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. (I am a Yankees fan after all).

Now Katz's Deli is an icon of New York. But I would've gone with some Italian flair, namely Patsy's, it's in the heart of the theatre district after all. It is a bit steep in prices though.

Where to next for our Miss Danvers?, Palm Beach County, Florida perhaps. Maybe she could visit a certain school there

Is that where New Athens School from the Superman Family in the 1970's is located? I would've thought Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) myself.

Here's that Rodgers & Hart song I mentioned in the story:

Stewart, a real good one. Great travelogue and NYC food to boot! Love the Ntural History Museum. I enjoyed going there as a kid. I guess Kryptonite exposure does creat a big appetite!

Thank,
